Saw the 1M at the Denver Auto Show this weekend. Wasnt super impressed. They had the car locked up. It was 'basic' no options car. Didnt even have xenon headlights, which I am guessing was maybe because it seemed that its strictly a show car?

I did like the concavity of the CSL rims on it though, those were sweet.

I was confused on the exhaust system though. Its supposed to be an N54, and I was guessing it would be the same as mine, but I got my ass up under the car and looked. It was a single pipe coming off what looked to be the other side of the motor and single all the way back to a 1 inlet muffler to a dual outlet. I would have thought it would be true dual all the way back and dual muffler like on 335 but maybe its done different on 135's?

The wide stance was nice though, I really liked that. Other then that, it was super impressive. Im sure Id enjoy driving it more though :)

135i's only have room for 1 pipe after the secondary cats. So our exhausts merge there and become one pipe to the muffler. My Bastuck quads are pretty much the same type of setup as the 1M except my muffler is to the side instead of the middle.

Yea, I didnt realize this until I looked under a 135i this weekend at the drag strip. Makes sense now. I figured same engine would have had the same route going back.

Too bad these things didnt get out a month earlier. Would have been great to see some at Mfest. -1 on Bmw for not knowing we needed these cars at Mfest V....oh well, Mfest VI!!
