Chris posted a thread on "What made you decide to buy an E46 M3?" but i don't see a thread why you select your car color. I'll go first... I picked AW because IMO it's the best color combo w/ IR :D. Beside the color combo it's a lot easier to maintain comparing to darker colors and it give you that virgin look but also saying don't f#% with me attitude :laughhard: Lets hear from you guys?

Not a M3... but figure I'll answer anyways.

AW was my first choice; but with production completed, finding a low mileage AW M Coupe with Carbon Leather trim was not an easy task.
Found the car that had everything I wanted, and the more I looked at the Silver Gray color, the more it grew on me. It has more character then TiAg, and hides dirt/dust well.

Well, some unfortunate circustances a few years ago came up and took my original baby from me ('01 LSB ///M3).

Although LSB was the color I wanted ever since the E46 ///M3 was unveiled in 2001, I really wanted a convertible to enjoy the California weather. So while looking for a new baby to love, I came across an '04 LMB ///M3 Vert w/ Hardtop. I knew this was too good to be true, and the more I looked into it the better the deal got.

Not only was the car part of the "US" BMW Individual program and had a special order exterior color of Le Mans Blue, but the interior was special as well Light Ecru Soft Napa. I knew the car was one of a kind and a great find, so I made the deal over the phone flew out picked it up about a week later and drove back.

So although I had my heart set on an LSB Vert, the opportunity of owning a one of a kind car was too good to pass up.

I came upon the CB E46 M3 back in 2002 when my brother was shopping for a car after finishing his undergrad. BMW of Bakersfield had it in the showroom, CB black on black/navi/smg...I fell in love with the car and the color right then!

However my first E46 was a jet black that I got a really good deal on a lil over a year ago..unfortunately that was short lived...but letting her go helped me to find NEM3SES and I couldn't be happier!

i dont know where i was or what i was doing, but the first time i saw a lsb drive by i knew i had to have that car in that color. many years later and countless hours of searching i finally found one that was decent enough to buy. so i pulled the trigger. i almost bought an 03 phoenix yellow for a sick price which i saw on ebay. and i missed it cause i was to lazy to call to put a deposit on it.
i seriously plan on keeping my lsb forever. and will definately turbo it.
thanks guys.

not an e46 but my color is silver gray. at first we wanted titanium gray for the e60 but then decided not to, and it came down between jet black and silver gray. everyone at the time had either black or alpine white so went with the silver gray =)

TiAg silver is always a classy color. Looks brilliant when direct light hits the paint. I wouldn't mind an Imola red or Laguna Seca blue either.

Carbon Black... Hmm.. The first time i saw it, i couldn't take my eyes off of it. It was the perfect match between black and blue (2 fav colors) so I decided to get an M3 in that color. :)
