Need this fixed so I can pass inspection. Ebrake currently does nothing when pulled up.
All brakes r good and almost new, same with disks. I tried removing the boot to find a socket to tighten (found this method on bfc) but idk what they r talking about cus mine doesn't have that. Also tried backing up while applying brake just to fail once more. Also not in the manuel.
someone plz help, my inspection expired early last month & I need to use my mommy mobile to bring my newborn home.

BMW should still be able to honor your inspection (after a month of expiring), check with them.

i could be wrong so dont quote me on it but if i'm not mistaken, the ebrake is usually adjusted by turning a screw/bolt found inside a slot on the wheel hub after removing the left rear tire?

Thanks for the replies. I didn't want to take it to the stealership bc I don't have a warranty anymore & when I got rear ended & brought it to the dealer here in temple they took it to the car wash & got my hood scratched up but thats another story.
E46transform3r: I checked there after u mentioned that & found nothing. Thank u anyway :)
So I'm reviving this thread to add the solution for future problems.
:) :)
Today I brought it to --EUROTECH-- here in killeen tx told him the problem & he said it would b $40 fix I said ok but can I watch? He then came out to look after I explained everything I tried & he showed me. This was SELF ADJUSTING. Simply by pushing in a tab on a round thingamaboober under the boot.(c pics) in my pics the tab is already pushed back in but u can c where it was by arrow. All u need is a flat tip screwdriver to push it back. I wasn't charged for this service but will definitely bring it back to them when future problems arise.
Oh how dumb I felt when it was all over.
Under here. Psh boot up from bottom to remove.
