Hey guys,
Today I purchased (on behalf of a client) a beautiful 87 E30 M3, it only has 46k on the clock & is like brand new inside! It was originally a US car, liced there til 93, then got shipped to our Japanese friends, lived there until 6 months ago when it came to the UK. It has service history from Japan, but nothing from the States.. I wish we could dig up her past! Any clues folks?

you can try a search using the vin# that's on the car... i checked CarFax and it actually showed up on there and was registered as a 1988 M3.. here's the link http://www.carfax.com/cfm/check_order.cfm#

It's a legit m3 when I put the VIN on there also. Carfax might tell you or see if you can track down what dealership or place it was maintained & serviced. If it was taken to a dealership they should have the service record.
