As the title states... I'll start off. I got this name since my Sr. year in college. Whenever we go out drinking i would tried out different drinks eventhough i had no damn clues what it was . My last quarter of college during senior yr i was in LV doing research and a group of my friends (females and males) planned to get my drunk. They tried to take my clothes off to my bday suit and shave me down there! I was drunk but still know what was going in so i fought them off... see what sort of friends i have :cussing:. Man, that night was the worst night... 7-8 mixed drinks on an empty stomach and no sleep for 48hrs!

high school nickname given by the team captain on the golf team when I was a freshman on JV and also by a close friend that got me searching for forums that was also on the golf team. the name just stuck to me throughout all of high school and once made my handles and sn almost everyone calls/has called me by it or some form of it. the euro plate with the nickname was also a gift.

In college, I used to hang out with this really cool DJ and dancer. She used to kid me, "I thought you were supposed to be a Psych Major, and not a Major Psycho" since I used to ride motorcycles and stuff...
If I may ask, what is it you do/did Syco?

Wow what a great answer...
But I did ask because I saw in pictures around the forums, that your into Motorcycles, exotic fords (hehe), etc. I have an inquisative mind that made me ask. lol
But I must agree with you on that point, "I believe work experience is just as critical as education". Ive been working since I was 15 and ive been living off of my own money since I was 16. Dont get me wrong my parents give me food and shelter but I didnt want to be a burden for them so I found a way to make my own funds.
But whats funny is when I went to apply for my new job the guy who was interviewing me was like "Wow, youve worked at all of these places?" hehe
But thanks again for your awesome response Syco.

That's so cool. How hard is it to learn to drive a motorcycle? Not really good at MT that's why i picked an SMG but would like to get better with a MT. Anybody here with a MT car they would not mind letting me learn to drive it :D. I'll buy lunch lol
I like that. As if I'm retired or something. Heheh. I wish.
I still go to work everyday, I am a Real Estate Developer. Having a deep love for motorcycles, before that I was National Managing Director of the non profit Motorcycle Safety Foundation. I was also a certified instructor and assisted in overseeing the development and implementation of the current curriculum that is used nationally to train people how to ride motorcycles safely, and even test rode for BMW on the Nurburgring for a special event in 2004. Before that I was a SEC registered investment specialist to help structure investment portfolios, and before that I was a State Criminal Prosecutor for a major agency and worked as Counsel for a State Dept. of Corrections. I worked during high school, college, and law school. I believe work experience is just as critical as education. I certainly don't write this to brag, and I thought seriously about not responding, but I'm sure you have your reasons for inquiring.
Ford's goal with the GT was to make it attainable. I've met a ford racing mechanic that owns one, a police safe cracker, and there was a factory assembly worker who bought one also. It's parts are obtainable at any Ford dealer and it was designed to be easy and cost effective to maintain as a Corvette. It was a big decision to make the purchase, and many factors were considered, but in the end I am glad I did. I researched the purchase extensively before making the decision to buy one, and studied every closed transaction in my search. I sold my last motorcycle and my beloved e39 M5 to help finance the transaction.
I love work, and hope that my sharing here, in response to your inquiry, will encourage you and others to share a little bit about yourself and what you do.

How hard is it to learn to drive a motorcycle? Not really good at MT that's why i picked an SMG but would like to get better with a MT.
I always loved anything with wheels, so I was into roller skates, then bicycles, then mopeds (yes the pedal ones) and then scooters. Then I decided I wanted to buy a 250cc Honda Scooter. But, I figured, oh, if I just learn to shift, I could buy a 250R Ninja. So, I worked at the Drug Store since 16 for a couple years and saved enough money to buy the motorcycle. I didn't want my parents to have to buy me a car, so I kind of thought they would be happy. Uh no...But I later took the MSF course and then a couple decades later went back and wanted to give back to the community and later became very involved with the Foundation and also the industry.
Motorcycles were, in my opinion, always the best performance and handling for the money. I've owned a Honda CBR, 3 Honda VFR Interceptors 700/750, Concours 1000, Triumph, EX500, BMW K1200RS, BMW R1200C, BMW R1100S Boxer Cup over the years. And you could always sell them for about what you bought them for, if you took care of them, and bought clean used ones.
I knew how to drive a stick car, so that definitely helped. Then the salesperson taught me how to ride in the parking lot. But the MSF RiderCourse is designed to take people that have never ridden and teach them how to ride and give them mental strategies for survival. There are both classroom and course instruction combined, and I think it is very well thought out. Not everyone will pass the course, because the ultimate goal is to have you as a safer motorcycle rider, so if you are not ready at the end of the course, you should probably practice more before being on the street. Controls in cars and motorcycles are different, but the theory is the same. Most of all, it's just practice.

A black and white car, that is a tough color combination to take a picture of. Looks like Scott was able to keep the white and black perfectly exposed and with a nice shine.
Nice!
I think im going to get a bike soon, of course taking all the precautionary classes and whatnot but its something I think could be fun and interesting.

Eternity comes from back in High School when I was really digging a girl and never made a move since she was a sister of a friend. I was into her for the longest time, so the boys dubbed me "Eternity"
As the the E39 and 3G, E39 was for my 5-er and 3G was my 3rd "G"eneration Lexus GS.
Anyone one else want to continue embarrassing themselves like I did?
Angeleus
01-14-2009, 01:46 PM
Came across this old thread... Minus well revive it lol
Angeleus is the SN... I used to be called Angeles, due to my middle name being that. But, when I was in high school I fell into the beginning of the MMORPG scene while being into cars at the same time. My SN's always been the same from Counterstrike pre-nerf of the bunny-hop to FFXI & WoW.
But, whenever tried making a character or signup for a forum the name Angeles was always taken for some reason. Thus, I went for the more angelic approach. (although I'm one of the furthest possible people to be called an angel... maybe a fallen one haha, I'm evil, ask my g/f, she'll tell you that I am)
That's how my s/n came to be Angeleus.
Also, there more people called Patrick or Pat in the world than there are Angeles or Angeleus. There's my explanation of my s/n. :D

NEM3SES is the name I decided to give my E46 M3. On other forum's I have the alias: 'ucsbsuperman". At first it was just superman because I used to play poker in a superman shirt, then my roomate/college bro had the online handle "ucsbhustler" and thought it would be clever to make my S/N ucsbsuperman. Thats how it originated..
I feel your pain. I hate it when I miss a game. Pulled an abb or groin last friday actually had to go to the Dr today for this one it will be 4-6 weeks for me. Lets have a beer together at MFest

After college I'd play drop-in occasionally, and do a yearly fundraiser tournament; but hung up my skates when I moved to Phoenix.
Went to the Wings/Blackhawks game over the holidays, reminded me how much I miss it. Really want to set aside some cash for new gear and get back out there!

When I was young hanging out with friends in my neighborhood, we were writing our names down for something and my one friend wrote my first name with 2 'E's instead of 'F's (Jeef). I didn't like that so I turned it around (Feej) and use it for all of my computer handles.

mrtm2008
01-19-2009, 09:12 PM
Well mine started as mrtm2004 based on the initials of my full legal name (Marshall Robert Thomas Middendorf) and that my first M3 was a 2004 E46 M3 Vert. Since I sold that car, and bought a 2008, I felt it was appropriate to update the screen name.
Also that is where I got the name of my company I started in 2008, MRTM Design.
As SYCO GT has asked...a little more personal insite on me...
I graduated from Northeastern University in 1994 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, went back to school to UTI in AZ after working 13 yrs as an engineer, to learn more about how to work on cars/trucks. As I tell everyone, there is a big difference between a Mechanic & a Mechanical Engineer. You don't get taught everything, especially hands on work, when getting a B.S.M.E. During those 13 yrs, I worked as a HVAC Designer, Project Engineer (for a foam manufacturing company & the company that manufactures the trade name Plexi Glas), CFD Engineer (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and Engineer for 2 Limousine manufacturing companies (in MA & in CA). I am trying my hand in my own business & other business ventures (Part owner of DubzDirect.com & BMS) but will probably return to the engineering world after we officially have moved to FL in a couple months.
