I'm not that much of a computer guy so here goes...I'm thinking of getting a Desktop and dual screen...I would like to see some of the members ideas and cost effective mods for a desktop...my number one goal is it has to fast (downloads and internet)

In any case i still enjoy the laptop but the dual screen is bad@$$...

I would go with a Quad Core mac Pro with 2x 30" Apple Cinema Displays. Hardwire it for faster speeds.

Id go with a desktop. It really depends how much you want to spend.

Right now im using dual 19" monitors (its sooo ftw with photoshop), but in about 2 weeks im upgrading to a better comp (with 12gb DDR3 RAM :D) and am going to be running dual 28" monitors :)

i might get a macbook a little later too... college would suck without a laptop haha

3k? haha thats just the mac pro cost.....not the two monitors....

just letting know you, downloads and internet have NOTHING to do with the computer, thats your ISP (internet service provider)...you can have a pentium 1 (10 year old comp) and a 4k mac pro, and if you use dial up or ****ty internet the internet moves at the same speed on both.

I upgraded to the platinum ot titanium package for the internet, that i feel like it's still slow...maybe because i use wifi for the laptop?

Hardwire through ethernet will help a little bit, how much mb down/up do you get from your package?
