He forgot to mention: BLUE TAPE!

it looks alot cleaner after he changed it. This is bound to happen on all E60s, Mines an 07 and its still good, but thats probably because it is garaged.

Why would blue tape be useful?

Its a cheap and worthwhile maintenance...blue tape probably so as not to scratch the paint
