Speaking of...ran into Paul Pierce in Vegas for my birthday. He was at the table next to me...all I can say is he was carrying around a wrestling championship belt with him that he raised all night...found it very funny.

That's the thing. We can never stay healthy enough to do some damage. On paper we have a very deep team. Don't forget Scola & Battier. The weakest link we have at the moment is our PG. Rafer does the job that needs to be done but his shooting is just so horrid.

If we could get someone that can shoot a lick from the 1 we can do some major damage.

O'neal did not act like a co-captains coming to camp FAT and lazy ever years. He was not smart to take a back sit as Kobe was starting to be one of the main guys showing what he can do. Remember when Magic came to the Lakers? The Cap took a back road and let Magic be Da Man. Phil, picked size and make things worst in his book (he changed his mind now that he is sacking up with the owner daughter and coaching Kobe again). Kobe vs MJ comparison is so stupid because both are great players so we not going to discuss about that.

The package the Lakers put together for KG was A LOT better than what the celtics gave up but i'm glad we didn't go forward. It includes Odom and Andrew but I'm happy the Lakers did not let Andrew go because he is showing signs of greatness and a post up centers that NBA have not see for a LONG time.

I'm not a sore loser they won it more so they deserved this championship but that's all they will win :D.

But just like Jabbar, he is getting old...Being on top and getting hammered day in and out for more than a decade takes it toll...So you can't blame O'neal for wearing down...What magic does have over Kobe is that he won championships without Jabbar. Kobe still needs to prove that he can without O'neal...

Gary and I were watching the game that night in different households...As much as I wanted to call him and make fun of the Lakers that night, I couldn't do it (even though Gary was talking so much trash after the first half and I was still on the road trying to get to a TV, lol) It was just that disgusting. Yeah, throw a game during the reg season...but not a pivotal final game...The Lakers should not just do it for the sake of hunger, but for the preservation of Laker reputation.

Bulls Trade: Kirk Hinrich, Andres Nocioni, Drew Gooden

The Lakers would have a star-filled starting lineup that is also tough defensively with Kobe, Hinrich, and Nocioni locking down the perimeter and Gasol and Bynum blocking shots in the middle. This trade would have to happen after Hinrich is back from injury though.
