My Akrapovic Evolution header-back exhaust originally came with gloss black tips per my request. However, I have since gone with carbon Akrapovic tips and am looking to sell my gloss black ones.
The gloss black tips are normal ones that had been painted black, had a clear coat applied, and red Akrapovic logos painted on. They have never been damaged mechanically, but exhaust gases have coated the interior with a layer of matte carbon and exhaust heat from racing has partially melted the Akrapovic logos. Also, pollutants and soap have left a film of residue on the clear coats.
I think a paint correction on the clear coat consisting of buffing might bring the original shine back. At worst, the tips can be refinished by IND (whom I bought my exhaust from) for $500. But perhaps you can find a local shop that can perform this work at a lower cost.
Due to the condition of the tips, my asking price is $200 OBO. Shipping would be extra, but I'm in the greater Los Angeles / Orange County areas for So Cal locals to pick up directly from.
