Finally i got LoLa strapped on the dyno yesterday at VF engineering and her first warmup run was @ 337 rwhp and the second time she started pinging and reading the air and fuel ratio it's not smooth and i had several mis fires and at 5k rpm she blew some black smoke:eek: we shut the dyno down and Nick advise me to get my software re calibrated as she's going on limp mode:(... so many variables to think of and I called Mark and Qais at Southbay Autohaus to schedule LoLa for a check up, MAFS, plugs and etc...and hopefully get the new software flashed asap...I should get her back on the dyno soon and back on the POWER!

+1

on your car the software just wasnt tuned correctly but it could be a MAF or plugs but I think we need some

super secret software ="SSS" lol

maybe it was because you were talking to the wrong side of the car as Nick from VF pointed out lol!

Sounds great bro, hit me up when you dyno her again i wanna here the beast in full force!

I'm sure Chris at BMS can tell you what's wrong.

Seemed to me that VF's dyno fan is very small, could be an airflow problem if you are doing prolonged runs. But most often issues like this are caused by software. Which engine mods/software are you running?

the fan was barely turning but their were 2 little high speed fans next to the intake area

Powerchip...I talked to Chris last Monday he'll see LoLa tune tomorrow:) it's not the fan that creates the problem but the tune ( base from the dyno sheet my Air and fuel ration is not as smooth as the Dinan tune and my timing is way off in the end (5k+rpm) that's why i dyno'd low )...

The big fan is nothing it's the two small ones that creates air and they use that on all their s/c kit and dyno'd 600 rwhp...it's the tune (i think):Dthe fan was barely turning but their were 2 little high speed fans next to the intake area

Just an update...

We tried erasing the software yesterday but it wouldn't allow us so i called Powerchip to see if they can do it and Jeremy looked at the dyno sheet and he said to replace the Mafs, plugs and get a fresh batch of gas (As that what they are suspecting) and i'll bring it back to Powerchip so they can find out more what's causing LoLa's grumpiness:D

It's an eliminitation process right now so we'll see:)

I will bring LoLa to SouthBay Autohaus for a much needed pampering, (plugs, Mafs, and etc..)

Sorry if you've answered this already and I forgot, but why not get Dinan software and end your troubles?

I was about to get it but Chris@BMS wasn't able to flash the software back to stock and Jeremy found out about my car and we touch base today and told him the problem and he read the dyno sheet and we came to understanding that we need to eliminate all the variables and see if changing the plugs, Mafs and a good batch of gas will get LoLa up and running (as he tested one abroad with the same software i have and they made serious gains), just a side note LoLa was the test car for their software regarding the high flow air mass meters, CAI, Headers and exhaust...and others have made significant gain...here's the dyno sheet (note: first run was a warm up run and that we had to stop run 2 and 3 because of the pinging black smoke also No CEL). air and fuel ratio fron start to finish is at 12.8...

LB - Good to hear and good luck at PC. Oddly, I threw a SES light tonight and went in to limp mode, restarted and still had the problem. I'll read and clear the codes tomorrow but it looks like I'm headed to BMS again.

As you can see on the dyno plots both warm up runs were 337 rwhp...and if Powerchip is correct i should be around 360-380 area if i didn't have an issue and had to stop...I posted laidbacks dyno and my dyno next to eachother to see the difference

Im looking forward to the next E39 s62 dyno day its funny how we are replacing and fine tunning things to get a couple more Hp than eachother lol but we will see I need bigger air mass meters I think we should be around the same hp
