So I put a quart of oil in the M5 and forgot to put the oil cap back on before driving 10 miles. When I got to my destination the whole hood was smoking so I opened it up to find oil everywhere, all over my motor. I put the cap back on but I'm wondering if this could cause any damage? Also, any recommendations for cleaning the oil off the motor??

Check your oil level and top it off make sure you cover it with the cap this time:D... There should be any damage as our engines are pretty sealed as far as cleaning it, I would pm Mike forum sponsor from Promobile detail and get an expert to clean it, he knows he's stuff...

Thanks Chris. I hope I didn't cause any damage to the motor or any of the plastics surrounding the motor....... :o
