So they're all pissed because everyone went to your meet instead of theirs? **** happens, they need to grow up and deal with it. I have thrown parties a few times were I found myself eat left overs for a week...

Jmho...
Not sure, as everyone have the freedom of choice to go to which ever meet they want but what got me puzzled was Earl is tired of the same old cars and the same old parking lot? (WoW that is a bold statement), does that mean he does not want to hang out with our Z4/ Z3 bro's as i saw him hanging out with them or our other Mfesters?...
I guess Earl has no clue on what Mfest is all about...Mfest is not just about cars but the people behind them, cars come and go but friendship last ( More Here (http://www.mfestforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8))
...Justin? he hasn't been to our events but I have supported his meets whenever i'm free and even invited others to go...
but I guess were not up to their standards:D

I'll support meets that are cool (ie. Mfest & thurs dinner/meet). At these meet everybody are cool and fun to talk to eventhough it was my first time meeting the members :D

laidback,
I think you're taking this way out of proportion. No one here has "standards", **** happened and my meet fell apart, big deal. I have pmed you being more than courteous talking about combining our efforts for future events and picking different locations so our events never clash again. I never blamed anyone for what happened so you can stop trying to make any inquisitions that we are not up to your standards. Earl and I just agreed that we should mix up the locations a little, not that we dont support the Mfest meets.
If you dont want to support my meets and post the bimmerfest link to make people "feel" we are blaming you, fine. Just know that I'll still support the mfest community and help spread the word for mfest future events either way. Also, lets not forget, the mfest is a new thing so to say I dont support it because I have never been to one is an unfair statement, as if I had the chance to be there I would.

Trust me Justin i am the last guy who will take it out of proportion or give drama...I saw your post on bimmerfest and i thank you for clarifying your posts...hopefully we can do something in the future and as far as supporting your or anybody's events (you know I always do)...

Laidback,
I don't mean any disrespect at all. When I made the comment about the Import Nights event I simply meant that I PERSONALLY prefer meets at different locations rather than on a lot. I know its not like Hot Imports Nights I think I was just upset about the whole Carbon Canyon Meet when only one member here showed up. I'm sure your meet is much better (obviously) in terms of turnout so thats why people who even signed the roster here, still went to yours. Like I said the few days after the Carbon Meet I was upset at the turnout and probably posted in heat here :D Lesson learned, do not go against laidback events.
Like I said, I don't mean any disrespect laidback, as we talked over pms a couple weeks ago, I think if we all put our efforts together for meets we can make killer meet & greets in the future. I am also working with the guys at e60.net to try to put together something in the future.

I support MFest, Bimmerfest, Cars & Coffee, ZSCCA and M5board meets. This includes voicing my opinions about the meets, whether it's agreement about details or not. It doesn't serve the community to simply be a "yes man". Diversity of opinion = learning = strength.

Diversity and voicing your opinion is always good and welcome (in my book) but i highly suggest just pm'ing me next time (this goes for everyone) instead of posting on public forum and making such statements to our events and especially to our members in public...as I have said time and time again we have to go with the majority and what works best for everyone/ members... :grouphug: We are here to have fun and get away from our craziness at work so lets put this aside :D. I'm sure there are a lot of different meets going on out there and some are on the same day. IMO just let the people decide which meets they want to attend and leave it like that :drive2:.
