Race Precision does it again and again! With its much success through their air scoop program, RPi has expanded it's horizons even further by letting the E9XM be able to breath more!
How do these scoops attain such added HP?

The stock intake system is based on vacuum. The stock air intake sucks in cold air as the entire system is sealed. The problem is when people install what we call "hot air intakes" on their cars, the ecu generally does two things. Air/fuel mixture gets more rich and ignition timing is reduced causing a loss of power. This is often overlooked as the cars "feel" faster because with an induction intake, the engine sound is louder. We use a ram air method to "ram" more cold air into the factory intake ducts. This allows us to pressurize the air and force it through the stock panel filter.
RPi's Ram Air Scoops converts your factory intake system into a ram air type. Other aftermarket induction kits mostly suck in hot air causing a loss of performance. The use of heatshields are not very affective as heat shields mainly work to block radiant heat. Utilizing the stock intake boxes, expect an 8-15whp gain with 70mph airflow. **ALL SCOOPS COME IN BLACK UNLESS RED IS SPECIFIED**
