Possible ///MFest Helmet GB? What would you like?

Hey guys,

I know a lot of us prepping up for the track event this coming April. I know I am. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone would like to jump on a group buy for helmets.

First things first, which brand would you guys want to jump in on? Top of my head would be Bell, Arai, Shoei, Schuberth, and Simpson.

I was thinking let's make a vote out of this. First ten votes count. Majority of the votes is what we would go for. For those gunho with the losing brand, you're not committed to join in after the tally. Price of the GB is TBD still, I'll make sure it's below $500 for sure...

Bell just released these 2 months ago. The helmet comes in Gloss White and in Gloss Black from the factory. I am doing this project in collaboration with Harris of In Style Graphics where he can wrap the helmet for you! As we speak, I have him currently designing a default scheme with the ///MFest logo and your name or screen name. Pictures of the default design installed will be provided once we get the helmets in. Harris will chime in for the mock up once he finishes the design. I know others might want to do some more customization. If that is the route you choose, please contact Harris for a more specified quote.

The only thing to be aware of, is that those are motorcycle helmets (M2005 rating) not auto racing helmets (SA2005 rating). Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the only differences are that the SA helmets have a flame retardant liner, and they've gone through the roll-bar impact test.
So whether or not they can be used depends on the people hosting the event.

I'm curious if for the Mfest track day the M2005 rating fine?
I already have a motorcycle helmet that I use for karting, and would obviously rather not buy a new one.

In the Track Day thread, open face helmets have been approved. We'll be using these open faced SA2005 helmets http://www.thebellstore.com/Auto/pro.html#Mag5 making it easier to communicate with instructors and passengers.
