Well the date is set and were visiting NorCal (Bay Area)...we leave Friday Nov. 14 after work ...

5 pm (still pending as we don't want to hit traffic)

Since my car will be getting the stroker moter during that time, how would it look if I showed up in a Camry Hybrid?:)

Seriously, if I showed up and somebody asked me about the stroker motor, my wife would say "what's that? How much did that cost?" I'd be dead meat. And it's my wife's B-Day weekend. So I'm 50-50. But I'd like to attend...that's for sure. Just going to play it by ear for now.

I should come by Eurodyne some time. I work right at San Tomas & Walsh @ NVIDIA. I think we're less than 1 mile away from each other. I'll see if I can bring at least one of the other six E9x M3 owners from NVIDIA. After looking at the map; it looks like we're less than 1/4 mile away from each other. Looks like you're across the street from BofA, and we own that entire diagonal block of business buildings.

u mean JLevi SW? =) If you're talking about San Tomas Expy, that cuts through Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, and other South Bay cities...Euro Dyne is all the way in Southern California =)...

If people need to stay locally, the closest hotel is a Hilton, 39900 Balentine Drive, in Newark. It is ~3 mi from the park. The other would be the Hyatt Place Fremont/Silicon Valley, 3101 Warren Avenue in Fremont(~5.5 mi from the park). The rates can be as low as <$80/night. If you do it right, closer to $50/night. There is a Marriott Hotel and Marriott Courtyard in Fremont as well.

I just checked and the current room rate is $79.00 and if your a AAA member it's $71.00

They might do better if you speak with management for a group rate. I think there is a minimum number of rooms required though.

I just spoke with Lily at The Marriott Courtyard in Fremont and she stated to get a group rate we would need to book a minimum of 10 rooms. The best rate she can offer for King beds would be $68.00 a night plus tax. If you require two double beds it would be $72.00 a night plus tax. The orignal AAA rate of $71.00 I received on the Marriott website was for a King bed. The two Double bed rate, would be the best deal if we can confirm 10 rooms with two people per room. Then the rate would be $36.00 each plus tax.

I called the Marriott and left a message. Once I receive a rate from them I will edit this post.

Just to let you know The Marriott Courtyard offers free internet service and the Marriott Hotel charges for the internet service.

Once there is a final count of BMW owners making the trip (hopefully there will be at least 10 requiring a room) then I can make the reservation based on everyone's commitment. If the count exceeds 10 rooms I will try to negoiate a better rate.

If i have to guess this is what i see...

- leave friday evening (i think chris mentioned 5 but i think a little later).
- we either all eat once we get there or stop by somewhere on the way.
- check in to the hotels/friend/family place.
- Sat morning roll to Sam at Premier in Fremont
- Lunch, drive, and photoshoot
- Sat evening dinner and ???
- Sun roll out to meet NorCal for BBQ and go home after?

Chris, this NorCal meet will be huge haha.

By Who? I got my clear bra done by Sam and his guys. It's 100% life time warranty if it turned yellowish it's covered. That's the reason i went with him because of the life time warranty :D. Clear bra is not perfect yet... on AW white you can still see it yellowish but any other colors you can't see it.

i did this in Santa Barbara one year came out to be less expensive than staying in a hotel and we had a much better place to stay. it was a very large house overlooking the ocean

Ok folks... i called them up this morning and found some information for us. PM me if you are going for sure and i'll send you the hotel info.

Here is the rundown:
AAA - rates
$107 + tx for 1 king bed
$121 + tx for 2 queen beds
FREE parking but it's an open areas no structure parkings
FREE internet access
NO continental breakfast

NO AAA
$119 + tx for 1 king bed
$134 + tx for 2 queen beds

Note: with AAA you can reserved up to two rooms so if other members do not have AAA we can help them out. This location is about 20-25 minutes away from the city AKA SF.

Their sale office closed on weekends so on Monday i'll call them up to find out what their group discount will be but we need a minimum of 10 rooms.

If you work for a company that has discount with hotels (ie. government workers get great disc) find out and let me know. I thought Intel Corp has corp disc. but this location they do not. If you have AAA then you can call in and reserved for two rooms under your name so we can hold the rate before it changed. Let me know if you have other questions.
Btw, if you work for the government i heard they get good rates :)

Ahhhh, I see. Didn't realize you guys had a room block somewhere. I just thought you guys were booking rooms randomly where you could find them.

Which hotel did you get a block at? I used to sell for over 45 hotels in NorCal, so I know most of them really well, as well as contacts at all of them. I can at least try and get you guys some upgrades or something where-ever you're at.

Chris, The Hilton in Santa Clara is about 30 to 40 minutes from Daly City. The rate that TKC can get for the Hilton is a great deal. However, this puts you about 45 minutes or so from San Francisco. If TKC can hook you guys up with a hotel in San Bruno or Burlingame that would be the best situation.

About a 20 mi drive from San Bruno, across Hwy 280 and then to HMB. I might be able to get a private room depending on the number of people. The drive over is pretty nice from Hwy 280 over to HMB. Here is the info on the HotelOk folks... i called them up this morning and found some information for us. PM me if you are going for sure and i'll send you the hotel info.

Here is the rundown:
AAA - rates
$107 + tx for 1 king bed
$121 + tx for 2 queen beds
FREE parking but it's an open areas no structure parkings
FREE internet access
NO continental breakfast

NO AAA
$119 + tx for 1 king bed
$134 + tx for 2 queen beds

Note: with AAA you can reserved up to two rooms so if other members do not have AAA we can help them out. This location is about 20-25 minutes away from the city AKA SF.

Their sale office closed on weekends so on Monday i'll call them up to find out what their group discount will be but we need a minimum of 10 rooms.

Realistically, what time do you think you guys will be getting into the Bay Area? The reason I ask, is because it will take you about the same amount of time to get to the Milpitas or Tanforan meets. However, it'll take longer to get to your hotel from Milpitas, whereas, Tanforan is in San Bruno.

Generally, the meet is done at one of the locations and not both... and right now, Milpitas seems to be the one that most people are leaning toward. But if you guys prefer to meet at Tanforan, I'm down to meet up with you guys and so are a few others who are around the way.

IMHO, tanforan gets my vote for proximity...and plus the shops there are nicer lol as if that really matters since theyll all be closed by the time we get there...=P

And just to clarify, the Starbucks that everyone meets at is actually NOT in Tanforan. It's in the shopping plaza across the street from Tanforan, which is open 24 hrs. It's right next to a Burger King. There is a Starbucks in Tanfo, but it closes at 10:00 PM.

I hope my flight back to Irvine/OC from Folsom, Sac is ontime tomorrow or i'll be doing a lot of speeding to catch up with you guys :laughhard:. Man, i don't understand some of you guys on the list that are going. If you are going let us know either way if you are staying at friends or hotel with us because i'm trying to save some $$$ for those that are staying at the hotel :mad: A simple reponse would be nice but no damn answer at all and i see posts they are going :chair:
