I plan to really wash my car before mfest 3, but not SUPER detail.
Rinse - Wash - Dry.
Thats step one.
Next step. Use a clay bar with Quick Detailer as lube, and do section by section.
Now my questions are these,
Can I do one section at a time, or lets say the WHOLE TRUNK, then put wax on it right after? or should I do the whole car with clay bar THEN wax it?
Is clay bar + wax right after Ok to do? or do I need a "sealant"?
I would be using Meguiers NXT Wax 2.0 and their clay bar system.
thanks for letting me know!
IE can I skip the polishing ; )?

I would recommend claying the whole car (meticulously) as this will be your base...for your car (Silver) I would first inspect on how deep the scratches are and what not on all area, I highly recommend using a PC but hand polish is fine (but don't expect to eliminate some scratches...I would use Zaino products for your car...call or email Lazaino.com and tell Aira or Robyn your a friend of mine they'll guide you on what you will be needing...

1st Rinse
2nd Wash
3rd Rinse Make sure you have DI water
4th Clay the entire vehicle
5th Rinse one more time using DI water
6th Dry with Micro fiber towel
7th wax the whole vehicle by orbital machine
optional: for More shine use sealant apply by hand
these steeps are the most basic detail
regarding the polishing depend how shine you like you're car if you decide to polish. Polish before applying sealant

NXT is technically a "sealant"...
I would give the car an isopropyl wipe down after you clay it. This will ensure all of the fillers in the quick detailer are not present, and you have an adequate surface for bonding.

so isopropyl alcohol would work fine? can I put it in a spray bottle and use it like i would the QD?
I am not doing a full detail that will actually come AFTER the vegas trip (weird i know).
I just want a nice clean car for the drive up there.
I may not even clay it....but thanks everyone for all the information, itll help me with my little details when I have a good chunk of the day to clean my car!

Yes to the iso. You can dilute it with distilled water a little bit if you want to save product.
