Drunk driver hit my touring after the Thursday dinner meet.

First and foremost I want to thank Nath at C&C collision for opening his doors at 1:30am to let me tow the touring to his shop. I could not be more thankful for getting out of this one in good shape and having great ///MFest friends.

Early Friday morning coming home from the ///MFest Thursday dinner meet in LBC. I was North bound on the 5 FWY in Burbank. As I was just passing the Burbank Blvd. over pass on the 2nd lane doing 65-70 mph, a drunk drive stuck me from the rear. He hit the car on the left rear corner cracking the bumper and the original O.Z. Mito's I just put on that day since the LM's are going to get refinished.
After striking me on the left rear corner he bounced of the center divider and struck me again on the front fender and wheel. As I was drifting to the right shoulder I was waiting for an on coming car to hit me, but with luck I slide to a dirt patch and came to a stop.
The drunk driver was trying to exit at the next exit witch was a sharp turn. He actually went into the dirt, hit a tree, hit a street sign, and took out a chained linked fence.:launch: (Before that I did not even know he was trying to run, I though he just had a lot of momentum with his car and could not stop.) I called CHP/AAA and Chris... (Chris said, call Nath right now, he will get your car in the shop)... Thanks Chris, I did not think of that, I was just shocked that I got into an accident.
I was still at the dirt patch when the CHP and towing company came. The CHP went to check on the drunk driver, when the went to check on him, he was on foot trying to run since his car was trashed. Burbank PD came and intercepted the drunk driver and turned him over to CHP. The guy was so out of it, that he was trying to getting out of the CHP car while being cuffed. :nono:
After getting all my statement and getting my car on the flat bed, I had called Nath which was awesome for waiting up and opening his shop at 1:30am to drop off the car.

I went back to C&C to take more pics in the day light. We don't know yet how much damage the car took, I will have to wait and see next week when the adjuster comes out to look at the car. Nath was saying the car might have suspension damage. Oh, well the car saved my life and that is what counts. I am still here typing this to you guys.

Thank you for the kind words guys. We are open 24 hrs for you guys in case of an emergency, our cell phones are on the answering machine on the shop line if you ever need. I always recommend to tow it straight in if you can. It's better than it going to some random tow yard or impound yard.

Thanks guys for the kind words and concern. I went to see a doctor that same morning and he checked me out. He say what ever I may feel now, it will just get bigger. But, I am going back on Tuesday to follow up. My lower back hurts and have some head aches.

Like I said before, Nathan and the C&C crew are really stand up people. 1st Nathan was kind enough to open his shop to bring the car in at 1:30am, and 2nd he was very concern on how I was going to get home that night, mind I say I live in Valencia. It was all good though I had a buddy of mine take me home. 3rd the next day i went there, all paper work I needed and what not was all squared away. So, hats off Nathan.

you able live another day, and that's what really matters. the car saved you life and can be replaced. but you, my friend, are irreplaceable. i'm glad to see that Nathan at C&C took care of you, people like that are hard to come by these days.

First off I'm glad your ok Raff, thats the most important thing. Im sorry to hear about this bro, it sucks seeing a fellow brother have this happen because of some POS who didnt have the presence of mind to not drink and drive.

Props to Nathan and C&C, one of the reasons I love being a part of MFest... Its a family that takes care of each other no matter what. Once again good job C&C.

It's cool atleast the BBS LM's weren't on the car at the time, but I still like the O.Z's that are on it I will try and save them, maybe get a new barrel for them.

I got that done, Again big ass thanks to Nate for letting me have access to my car and having one of his employees help me take it off the car.
I was thinking how would I get the Supersprint Exhaust off with out help. But, C&C collision crew to the rescue.

Yup, that was pretty sweet that the LM's weren't on the car. James might be picking it up again after it gets refinished. If he doesn't pick it up, ///MFest members will get first dibs.
As for the Mito's, they are at the repair shop, the are evaluating the damage to see if they car fix it.
