Getting an itch, unsure if it will really be scratched. Curious on opinions. Which car do you think will be more smiles per mile. Rank based upon WOW factor, speed factor, track worthiness, cost of ownership, driving dynamic.

the m6 is nice, but it's barely a track car. It's a lot of fun and fast as hell. Two completely different toys. How come you are not considering a 996 turbo.
I am sure you can get a z06 cheaper than that and it;s very cheap to maintain. The m6 will not be as cheap to maintain. The smg is expensiive to replace when it goes out.
M6- more comfortable
chicks dig it:D
looks nice
smg
its a bmw
interior is nicer.
z06- faster
better track car
cheaper to maintain
interior is cheaply made
6 speed gear box could be plus or minus depending on your daily commute.
Can't go wrong with either.

Not really serious yet, just pulled those two examples at random literally just for examples, not going to look at those two particular cars.
I know the M6 is too fat as a track car but the track is just a small consideration, still looking at only a handful of track days per year. Gotta be honest very fun when everyone checks out your ride and it's still fast as hell too boot. That 'WOW factor' has gotta be much higher in the M6 than the Z06.
996 three years older and still the same or more $$$

I agree on what Ghostrider said.
My vote is the M6. Of course its because primarily I am a BMW fan and because I own an M6.
Vette's just doesnt do anything for me.
But that's personal preferrence.
The Z06 is simply put - a go fast car.
The interior is........I dont know how else to put it - cheap!
