G-Power succeeds in action against falsification.

In a joint campaign with the department of public prosecution of Frankfurt and German customs, G-Power successful made a severe strike against the international counterfeiting market.
After first evidences showed up that 1 to 1 copies of the G-POWER wheel are being offered to the public on the International auto show “Automechanika”, G-Power and the responsible authorities acted fast and efficient.
Thanks to an interim injunction from the department of public prosecution of Frankfurt, big quantities of G-Power wheels were confiscated immediately, along with brochures as well as the books of commissions of the product pirates.
Thanks to this spectacular action, not only big financial and image damage for the company G-Power has been avoided, but even more important, safety and health from potential customers has been saved. Because even if the falsified wheels made a good impression on the first sight, it very quickly appeared to the expert eyes of CEO and graduate engineer Christian Stöber “these wheels are badly designed. They are under dimensioned and do not satisfy in any way the safety norms of the German TÜV required for street legal products. The crash of the wheel is pre-programmed.”
Because the safety of our customers is very important for us, we will keep working against counterfeiting in the future. G-Power customers are making the conscious choice for a product, which more than having an attractive design and a first class quality are warranting a high level of safety. In order to satisfy this expectation from our customer we are doing costly and complex product tests, which sometimes lead to spectacular results, like our world speed record from 360 km/h with the G-POWER M5 HURRICANE is impressively showing.
First analyse from the confiscated material show that the incriminated company didn’t just copy wheels from famous tuners like G-Power, ABT, or AMG but wheels directly from car manufacturers like BMW, PORSCHE and Mercedes, too.
Thanks to its prompt action G-POWER discovered just a small part of a big international counterfeiting venture, in which famous companies are involved.
According to company founder and President Zoran Zorneke, “The story is not finished yet”. We will keep you updated on this topic.

i believe BBS has taken some actions before but as to what magnitude i'm not sure... and although its a good start towards the right direction, what g-power did only made a relatively small scratch on an "industry" that has grown tremendously over the years and has tampered copyrights indiscriminately. lets see how this progress'

It's good for these companies to take action.

Other companies should pay primo to be able to replicate other companies' designs
