Well, I just got my M3 in today and I've been driving around town for awhile. This is my first car that I'm going to mod, so I'm not really sure where to start. I was thinking an intake would be a good place to begin, but I'm not sure which one would serve me the best.
Any suggestions would be appreciated! :)

Welcome!
Stock intake is the best, do not touch the intake just the filter! Start with wheels 19's 0r 20's then KW suspension. Then I would do the exhaust next, I have RPI and I love it but there's other options as well such as Dinan, Active, Gintani, Eisenmann, etc. Then I would do the lip and diffuser such as Vorsteiner, Hamman, 3D design to name a few. Then I would get some pulleys and rpi scoops, then you're ready for some ECU tune. If you're ballin', I would get some BBK's Brembo, APR, Stoptech etc. Then I would get aftermarket trunk such as Vorsteiner or Ericsson trunk. If you're really, really, really ballin', get a supercharger such as G-power, VFE or Gintani that I know of. Other members can chime in and recommend to what I am missing. After all that you're ready for some photoshoot and post pics of your ride. Good luck with your mods.

Now, do you really want to mod your car! LOL j/k

thanks for the suggestions! i'll probably drop a K&N filter in there sometime soon. as for the wheels, i'm looking into some right now, but haven't made a decision yet.

Welcome onboard. Post up some pics and we can provides some inputs on which mods to go after but before doing that you want to ask yourself the type of mods you are going after. Modding can be really expensive so take your time and do it right so you will not waste money on it :lolhit: Also, you are on the right forum because the sponsors on here can hook you up with mod parts :laughhard:

Will changing the suspension change the ride height? I'm pretty new to all of this stuff =X also, could anyone give some tips to the best way to wash/wax my car? I'm currently using microfiber cloth to wax and regular towels to wash/dry.

thanks for the link. those threads are amazing when it comes to keeping your car looking great :p
another question: would it be worth it to grab an air filter right now or does the M3 come with a good enough one? if so, would you recommend macht schnell or K&N (my uncle has an e46 and tells me to get a K&N, just would like some more opinions)
