I just got a call from Eloy and he said they just got Rabdog's E60 M5 for the RPI headers install and are awaiting tune...stay tuned there will be some serious power coming up once the tune is done:D

target will be 450-460rwhp on RPI's dyno. That will be strongest M5/M6 ever on that dyno...except....:rolleyes:

Since I’m leaving for a business trip for 5-weeks in Asia I decided to drop my car off at RPI last Tuesday to get an overhaul and RPI stage 2 package installed.

Mods included in this package:

RPI Headers
RPI Oil cooler
RPI V4 Scoops
Stage 2 Power tune

Currently I have RPI V3 scoops, Pulley, ESS Tune, and Section 1,2,3 exhaust

I dropped the car off last Tuesday and it Dyno’d at 428.3HP.

RPI is now using my M5 as there new project car goal to break 450hp on their Dyno Dynamics. Personally I think my car will break 460hp with all new Mods that’s my goal.

Saturday Eloy called told me to come in to get a little teaser since they installed the headers. Arrived at RPI got into my car and started it and sounded the exact same at idle to my surprise since im running 3’ pipe with no cat or resonator. I commenced to Rev the engine to 4-5k rpm car never sounded better still had that same deep throat growl and more powerful then ever..

I took the car for a spin around the block and OMG the car has never pulled harder 3rd gear now feels like 2nd and 4th gear feels like 3rd it was unbelievable. Really could open it up on the street past 4th but I was impressed. The RPI headers have really opened up the bottom end but the only problem is keeping the car hooked up now through 1st, and 2nd... Well maybe its time for some drag radials!!

Kenny arrives and hands me a V-Box sets it up in my car and says have fun!! I took the car out and again to see if I can find any open road and for you all that know the streets around RPI its pretty difficult! I got one run in 55-110 pulled a 6.9sec on the street which is very good considering the ECU hasn’t adapted do not have the Stage 2 tune and scoops. Thinking I can probably get that down to 6.6-6.7 with all the new Mods when car is fully adapted.

Thanks again Eloy for teasing me before I leave at least I have something to really look forward to when I get home!

My car is in the body shop getting the front end repainted due to a run in with a Key and rock chips... Will be out of the shop next week then has to be re-tuned by powerchip!

laidback told me about your car last night and maaaann! That thing is gonna be a BEAST! Do you have any sound clips or videos? I'd like to hear how the exhaust sounds... I'm excited to see it @ MFEST 3 :thumbsup:

I'm have problems with the Powerchip Software tune till this day cannot be figured out!

Rab... I have noticed in recent videos of your car that you lose ground in the high end.... is it because the M5's you race have long tubes?
