No more cigarette lighter power adapters hanging down your windshield.

thanks for this, I have mine already hardwired, from previous owner, but he kept the v1, so I needed instructions on how to rehook it back up, hopefully this is similar to how he did it!

Yep, this is probably about 99.99% the same ; )....you may want to go buy a SMALL and SHORT telephone wire (rj-11) at radio shack or best buy, so you do not have that much extra wire hanging. Also you could buy one of those THIN phone cables and it will protrude even less.

Or, find an old phone with the coiled handset cord. Use a coiled cord instead.

Coiled cord is better IMHO so you dont have that much extra wire showing.

Or you can always stuff the extra cables inside the headliner.
