Here you go for sharing
I did this mod about 2 years ago. However I just upgraded to a new brighter 3 watt LED festoon bulb.
See attached DIY and photos.

See that attached Word document DIY file on my original post.
Everything you need to know should be there.
Summary though: I get all my LED's at Autolumination.com.
Search for Festoon bulbs. Look for the new 3 watt LED. See photo below of what this LED looks like.
Their website is funky as I cant send you a direct link to the LED bulb.

did this mod 3 days ago...but i used a complete kit from bimmian which also has 3 watt LED bulbs...i did keep the four reading lights stock since yellow light is much friendlier when reading...but the dome lights, door sill lights, vanity mirror lights, and even the trunk gate light are spitting out clear white led lights =)...
dan, thanks to this DIY i was inspired to do it once more...been holding off on it and did miss the the white led effect from the previous touring...

When I did this mod 2 years ago, I was not able to find an LED bulb that will fit the map lights properly.
Havent looked since then but I'm sure you can find them now in eBay or other LED supplier.
I dont have time to do this research right now but if someone found an LED that would fit and work - kindly share. Thanks!
Happy New Year!
Dan
