Has anyone taken the two day M school in South Carolina from BMW? Was it any good and worth the money? I have know about some driving school classes offered in Orange County from Driving Concepts to help get the most out of driving the M3 to the max.

I found a driver school at Button Willows in Kern county and also offered by Driving Concepts for less money. However, the 2 day M school offered at the BMW Performance Center looks attractive and you get a very cool M racing helmet with M jacket and shirt.

Not completely true. The beginning of last year they couldn't sale any M3 cars so they added the M school if you buy the car. I know Keith-FastKar was one of the guy that got that deal.

I think you need to buy a brand new M6 now to get the free M school. No more freebies that I am aware of for the M3 cars.

you get a 1 day school for free if you buy an m car and request it... they pay for hotel and dinner and breakfast... you just gotta buy the ticket to go to south carolina.... it was really fun and informative.... they test you on several different concepts and courses, they use a wet skidpad and pull the ebrake on the m5 to teach you to counter-steer and control the car in a situation where you have no control, they have a wet oval course tournament where you and someone else start at opposite ends of the course and try to catch up to each other without pushing it too hard and spinning out in the Mz4's. They also have a timed competition to see who has the fastest lap on a short course they have there which is similar to auto-crossing. They also take you to their big course and have you run a bunch of laps on it with everyone going at once...
Whats cool is that they talk to you through walkie talkies as you are driving and tell you what you are doing wrong, such as not taking proper lines and tell you how to correct it. I was told during the big course and getting the m5 to slide into corners "Mychael, you ARE NOT driving a Toyota Corolla! You have 500hp under your butt!" LOL I also spun out the m5 with DSC ON during the Chicane on the small course! Hahaha...
I believe you cant do the 2 day course without completing the 1 day course first as the 2 day course is more advanced... It's worth it! My dad an i want to do the 2 day course whenever he has time to leave his job...
