California Speedway Roval Jan 16 2010

I'm signed up for California Speedway Roval January 16/2010 I'd love to see some MFEST members out there. We will get a couple garage spots so we can hang out between run sessions. Don't worrie no experence is needed as there are 4 different run groups from first timers to advanced. The cost is $160 for the day.

Message to ///MFest Members. This is a great place to spend the day. Its only $ 10 to come in and enjoy the day. Also they are running a Auto Cross the same day its $ 60 I don't think you need a helmet for that.

Sounds good. I found some helmets I could use so no worries. I will definitely take you up on that ride along though. That or maybe you can do a couple lead laps and i'll follow to familiarize myself with a proper line. I'll sign up either this weekend or Monday. Are you going both days?

How can you register for the 15th when the event is the 16th and 17th :confused: maybe thats why you didn't get a confirmation email :confused: click on the link on the first thread and try again. It will be nice to see you on track. I will be able to ride with you and show you the lines for your first couple runs.

It was nice to meet you your gfriend and Mr Amtrack. I forgot his name but he was cool. Next time lets all sign up for the same group and run together on track. If you have and Track Day photos post them here.

I was surprised to see how many people I knew that day. Mr. Amtrack was really funny. Thanks for the advice on the track and run throughs. I was getting very comfortable by the middle of the day and my lap times were getting faster without me actually trying to drive faster. My fastest at the end of the day came in the last session with a 2:01! One small complaint I had was my run group had so many cars so I found myself behind a train or slowing way down to find a new train at lap entry.

Did you hear about the black RX-7 that crashed? It was in my run group and happened right in front of me. It was right before the straight away and track exit so it was at pretty high speed. He was really going after it and since the road isn't that smooth, the car probably hit that bump that you tell me to avoid and it just tossed him to the wall on the left. I hope they were okay but the car's front end was just destroyed. All this happening on the last lap. If he were to make it out of that corner, it would've been the cooldown lap and he would've driven home. Crazy...that definitely scared my gf!
