Hey guys,
One of my New Years resolution this coming year is to get back in shape. The forums have kept me away from working out! :D About 2 years ago I was actively working out. I use Ballys in Hollywood. Almost everyday after work I go there to work out. Then, I switch to playing basketball almost everyday after work. But ever since I have found out about these car forums about a year and half ago I stopped and you guys know why! :D
here's my routine:
-stretch 20 mins
-run on track 30 mins
-abs 100-300 reps
-weights 30-40 mins
What about you fellow Mfesters!:D

Mine (I usually workout in the mornings):
Weights for 30-45 minutes
Stairmaster for 30 minutes
Basketball DRILLS for an hour
Basketball pickup games until I can't move
Then I go home and eat a bowl of PLAIN oatmeal (1 serving according to package) and 2 hardboiled eggs.
And for the rest of the day I drink plenty of water and TRY to watch what I'm eating (LOL Kuya Jason said it's ok to cheat one meal.. heh heh)

Yup, Sams helped me out with some killer leg work outs...
I go to 24hours in Glendale every morning before work. I normally do 1-2 muscles a day for about 45-60 min. I shoot for 5 times a week and rest up on weekends. Just make sure u guys get enough protein, vitamins and water when u guys are tearing up ur muscles.

I agree with the protein, you need to feed your muscle as much as you can if you are doing that type of routine.
I am have a similar routine, 5 days on 2 days off.
Two body parts each work out. I start with two warm up with each body part and then I do 5 sets 4-7 80% of my max till failure. Rest in between is 45-50 secs.
Meals:
4-4:30 am wake with 40 grams of Whey Isolate protein(Isopure)
4:30-4:50am at the gym with pre-work out drink Jack3D.
5:45-6:00am finish work out and drink another 40 grams of Whey Isolate within 1 hour of work out.
7:30-8:00am solid foods. Breakfast... Oatmeal, Banana
9:30-10:00am snack
12-12:30pm Lunch....
2:30-3:00pm snack
6:00-7:00pm Dinner no carbs by this time, I loaded all carbs during the day.
Before bed time another 40 grams of protein, So, body can feed while sleeping.
Products:
Isopure- Whey isolate protein... this stuff won't get you bloated... good stuff to lean out as well with out loosing mass.
Jack3d pre-work out drink.
Animal Pack vitamins.
Sometimes, I use Optimal Nutrition 100% Whey to mix up my protein intake.
New Years... Goal for body transformation will be updated.
I train at LA Fitness Valencia, home of the hot MILFS and Cougars.
Back home here in the Philippines I train out of the Gold's gym in Makati. (home of the, dang I think that guy is going seriously hurt himself doing that) he he

I try to do pilates or other core work for at least one hour each day, two hours on days off. Some days here and there get missed and I usually feel pretty crappy if I miss a day; I missed today but it's safe to say I was going to feel icky no matter what today.

i hit the gym about- 4-5 days a week (about 1 hour of weights/30-45 minutes on the bike). i surf 2-4 days a week (if theres swell or some shape) and practice martial arts (either hapkido, muay thai, brazillian jujitsu 2-3 times a week (i have two blackbelts). i also try to get some kayakfishing in every week usually on sundays. luckily i only work 2-3 hours a day and i can keep up with this schedule. but lately having three growing kids (ages 10,9 and 2) is making my schedule feel a little selfish.

What do you guys eat before/during/after workout?
What do you guys eat before/during/after workout?
Before work out I have a protein drink (100% whey from Optimum Nutrition or Whey Isolate from Isopure) This intake is 40 grams of protein. The purpose of this is to feed your muscle so it can burn it while you work out. If you don't have anything while your work out, your body will look for something to burn and that is your existing muscles.

I also take a pre-work out drink to get a good pump for the work out. It is called Jak3D from US Labs.

After work out.
Right after working out with in 1 hour I drink another protein drink to have the muscles feed again to store all the work you just did, your body will want to feed and you don't want it to eat the work you just put into your muscles. Anything after 1 hour that you eat your body will take it in and store it as fat.
RadzM,
What is your goal or what do you want to get out of your training? You want to get some mass or have a tone physique.
The training regiment I wrote done was to have a middle grown of tone and a bit of mass, just to have a dense/thicker body. To achieve your goals you will have to feed your body right and get some good rest.
The feeding work out regiment is a basic regiment in gym training. You can ready up on some from reference site I have you bodybuilding.com
If you are serious in training, you will be spending lots of money on what you eat. lol If you think modding cars are an expensive hobby, just wait. The trade off is, you are doing this for your health and it will be for your life time.

What do you guys eat before/during/after workout?
I don't eat before (I've probably had a non-fat, half sweet, no whip mocha though).
After: yogurt OR toast w. peanut butter OR cerial - (all of the above will be organic so NO preservatives, preservatives make you fat)
note: my working out is to be lean, not for strength.

Are energy drinks good for workout?
If your goal is to loose some weight, I would not drink the energy drinks.. they have to much calories and a lot of sugar. After having it and using all the energy you get the crash.

if you want to lose weight then cardio is your friend. make sure your in fat burning mode and not overdoing it. also you really start to burn the fat after the first 20 minutes or so. therefore try to do at least 30 minutes or more 3-5 times a week to burn fat. make sure you reduce your caloric intake as well

You should also try to drink as much water as possible rather than drinking soda and energy drinks. Stay away from fried foods and foods with a lot of trans-fat. I think you can get away with protein shakes? Not too sure because I'm not really into those, but I'm sure someone else here has more knowledge into those... I believe they're more for people who work out for muscle rather than losing weight....
But anyways..good luck Richard!! :D

why are you waiting 4hrs to eat? you should be easting every 2.5 to 3hrs IMO... it'll speed your metabolism up and help you burn fat better.

the key to water consumption is you don't want to drink too much and you don't want to drink too little. 64oz is the exact amount you need but 128oz (1 gallon) is maximum needed.
bro, i have so much information from nursing background, working out and training martial arts... from stretching to diet. Raff, is another person who knows ALOT! His body speaks for himself... no homo :shifty:

Thanks and that was funny... no homo taken this way bro. :D
Main this is to be consistent with what ever you are doing, may it be diet, working out, or just even reminding yourself what is healthy for your own body. Once you get into a routine of being consistent, that is the base for any platform you want to go into.

So its been 2months and a week of solid 5-6 times a week work outs. Man do I feel good. I started taking this drink that is some what of an energy booster, u take it 10 min. before work outs. Gives u a nice pump but nothing drastic. Its called Body Storm, Arno from Gintani told me about it and man it does do the job. I try to only take it when im tired and really dont feel like working out.
So if any if of u guys are looking for a little booster before work outs id def. recomend this. Ive tried other stuff but i always ended feeling to jumpy or shaky like I cant concentrate. This stuff is perfect and if u dont take it u dont lose any power or strength like other stiff out there.
Well hope to see some of my forum members at Mfest with some six packs :D

This is my second round of Animal pack, my friend has been taking it for 20 years and stands by it. So, far so good I am liking the it. Gives you the correct amount of vitamins you need. I am not taking the original Animal Stack.

Are you taking any protein at the moment? I was drinking Isopure (Whey Isolate protein). It was going through me pretty fast, if you want to get lean this is the protein to take. It get's pretty expensive though.
I switch over to 100% Whey Gold Standard from Optimal Nutrition. This is good combo with the Animal Pack. This has work well in my training.
As for my pre-work out drink like the boost you take. I am taking Jack3d from UsLabs. This stuff is now joke... gets you going while in the gym and it makes you sweat like crazy. Even after I take a show, I am still kind of perspiring.
Here is a review on it.

You are right though, working out is like crack,,,, once you start seeing some results from your hard work. It gets really addicting and you want to see what levels you can take yourself too.
