I'm looking for some upgrades as well and found BavAuto to be decently priced for my e36. Check em out for your e46.

OP - For brake pads, I prefer Porterfield pads. The R4-S is a great street pad that doubles fine for a auto-x/track pad. They do not squeal at all and the dusting they create is low. Porterfield's more track/auto-x oriented pads, the R4 and R4-1, will squeal. The R4-1 pad is simply phenomenal; with these pads, your eyes will pop out of their sockets, but the only thing is that it's a true track pad so there is no spring retainer clip on the pad's backing plate to clip it into the single piston, and as a result, they (the pad) will rattle in the caliper and they do squeal, but that's the price you pay for super hard braking. I also like Pagid pads quite a bit. The most current pad is the RS29 Yellow pad, which is the replacement for the venerable RS19 pad. The Porterfield pads can be bought straight from Porterfield in Costa Mesa and you will be set back about $180 or so dollars.
