We dont want to divulge too much info as we have alot of surprises in store for everyone who will go/ participate....

Now we have worked so hard and for so long to put a very solid event and we know some people will have a different view or what not about the event and we totally respect and understand that...but then maybe, just maybe MFest IV "The Proving Grounds" may not be for them:(

Chris, I think you should email out the Pallazo group code to the registrants first. This way people that are registered get first dibs on it, then after that make it public? That said I didnt use my paypal account to register, but my CC. I could verify though by telling you the 3 names I registered with :D

Unfortunately:( Mfest cannot bring any food/ drinks as per the track rules; they require everyone to buy from the LV Motor Speedway caterer which we asked to come out for that day...
Menu
Tacos
Breakfast burrito
Hambuger
Cheeseburger
Hotdogs
Soda
Water
but you guys (participants) can bring your own food/drinks or buy outside during the event (there are a few restaurants a few blocks away from the track )...

So where can I get one of those t shirts for sale? I need a small. I need to gear up lol. And also do you have small sweater as well?

I might be planing on taking my gf, but just do really participates so do I registor her to or only me, the person participating?

ROOM RESERVED!!!
To answer some of your questions, the Palazzo and MFEST (Laidback) have managed to provide a group code discount that will allow you to ARRIVE at the Palazzo WELL BEFORE, AND DEPART from the Palazzo WELL AFTER the MFEST IV event, and include the MFEST IV discount rate that we have been looking for of $145/night for the duration of your stay. In other words, for the majority of us, the nightly room rate discount will apply well before we arrive, and extend well after we depart! This is reflected in the reservation process, as you choose your arrival and departure dates.
That's what it's all about, peeps!
Thank you Laidback, and all those that are making this EPIC event a reality!!!!:thumbsup2:

If you cancel within 72 hours of your arrival date/time, you WILL forefeit 1 night's billing at the hotel. That is part of the hotel's reservation policy, and we cannot make any exceptions. If you have any questions, please forward them to us for clarification. We do NOT want to see ANYONE lose money on this adventure......... It will be something that you'll have a very difficult time explaining to you grandchildren, or any body else for that matter........ Fun meter is pegged, and the needle is bent!!!

All of the benefits for registering and attending this event have been posted. If you do not agree with what has been offered, it is your choice not to participate. Putting on this event has multiple hidden logistical costs, and money does not grow on trees! If you had been to MFEST 3 last year, you would have seen some incredibly expensive raffle prizes, not all of which were given to us for free. You decide what you'd rather do that weekend

I registered, so dont get your panties in a bunch. Im just wondering where a "no pass policy" is being enforced. I would think the car show would be open to the public so MFest can grow even more (exposure). I understand if the track portion is closed to registered vehicles only, but why wouldnt anyone be able to at least go watch? Is the club restricted to registered people only? I'm thinking thats doubtful since it would cost an arm and a leg to rent out an entire club in vegas.
Not trying to stir up the pot, just trying to understand where its a "registered only" event.
Big Mike
02-17-2010, 03:55 PM
Not getting bunched up over here, simply sharing with you that there are costs involved with having the car show at the track, instead of a hotel parking lot like last year for free. I'll get off my soapbox now and let the experts speak to your inquiry.
mikracer
02-17-2010, 04:00 PM
Im not contesting that there are a lot of costs involved with this event. Im merely asking what part of the event is exclusive to registered participants only? Perhaps you should reread my original question and then you would realize I never once mention costs to the event organizer or this event in general.
Big Mike
02-17-2010, 04:10 PM
I'll try this one more time. Last year the car show was held in the parking lot at the Venetian, next door to the Palazzo, and there was no "checkpoint" for entry. I believe that you must be registered with MFEST to gain entry to the track this year, then into the car show area, although I will let the powers that be make that clarification. I'm only coordinating in the morning to get everyone onto the track that has registered to be on the track.

Thanks guys (Big Mike and Mikracer) you guys set up a good scenario and to answer some of the questions:
1. All participants will get an official sticker at the registration were they have to place on their windshield for the VIP parking garage and Entrance of their car at the event...
2. Each individual will be given the official wrist bands so they can go in and out of the VIP parking and at the show..
For the General Public who wants to witness the event and see the best BMW's and Non BMW's the sponsors and the participants has to offer, they are more than welcome to come out and infact will pass some flyers out and will post up some posters out locally, Gate fee will be $20 per person...
more info to follow...

Number of rooms: 1
Number of guests: 2
Check-in: April 16, 2010

They charge everyone one nights room and tax upon reservation. If you cancel before 72 hours of the arrival date, they'll refund it. If you cancel after, you'll forfeit that amount. If you follow through and stay the two nights, they'll charge you the remainder at check out.

I want to bring my 10 year old son... are kids allowed and is it still the same entry rate for them?
What can they do at the track? Can they ride along with a driver?

Hey Jon, would you be driving down early Fri morning? I might be driving down to SoCal on Thu afternoon/evening and then meeting up with one of the caravans Fri morning. Not set in stone yet so maybe we can caravan with each other if things work out.

not sure. i'm still on the fence about when to leave. i can't take thursday off but then i don't want to get up at 4 in the morning on friday either.
i'm still open to ideas though. whatever most folks are doing is probably what i'll end up doing. :)

As of tonight we only have 30 rooms left for the guaranteed room block , I'd say register asap and so you can get the hotel grp code discount, you don't wanna be paying retail or have to in a different hotel:(...

Question, would it be possible to register now! and register for track later? or everything has to be done now!?
so to completely understand and for me to be clear.
$135 for registration
+ $150 for track?
+ $50 for GF?
= $335 for all!?

To All:
The deadline for $150 price will be on March 22, 2010 after that it'll be go up to $200 for late track registration and will double up ($300) the day off the track day (April 17, 2010)...

Extra rooms are not guaranteed at the same rate, that weekend, NHRA, BMWNA convention and other organization will be in Vegas aswell...Vegas will be packed as well as room reservations...This is what ive been working on for the past few days, as we still have less than 2 months left till Mfest IV and we've already matched last years numbers:hail:...Hence i tell everyone who are thinking of registering to register asap so they can book their room for a discounted rate...

It's becoming more of a reality. I was already registered but finalized my room the other day. I guess that means I'm gonna be there.
Last year was my first MFest where I flew down and I was envious of everyone that got to drive. Now that I live here it's time for me to join the caravan and drive down.
