In the not too distant future I plan on going F/I, but what startles me is how expensive HPF is. Not sayin it's not worth it at all! just looking at what else I can buy for that kind of money lol... for example a second E46 M3 lol, or a decent daily driver ...

Here is my thoughts:
S/C kits are around 10K so for that price whats another 6-7K more and getting the turbo kit, but now your talking 16-17K (starting price)
Well ****, for that u could get yourself a E46 later model to beat around or track..

Heres my conculsion: all F/I for our ($25K avg cost) M3s are too overpriced, thus I will wait till I find a used kit for no more than $5K

What is everyone else's thoughts...

Damn very hard decision indeed...try to get a feeler on what you want your car to be and then make the decision on which kit you'll like and also try to do a test drive on both cars (we have plenty of F/I here:D) ...I am also VERY tempted on going with the E46 M3, the motor is fantastic and the tuners really got it down with this car...

There are plenty of used kits for around that price. We have a used AA kit for sale if you want it. We often have used VF kits for sale as well. Just let me know which kind you want. We are always pulling off S/C kits for people that want our turbo system.

As far as the higher price of our turbo system, it's because we had to design nearly all of the parts in our kit from scratch, and there are far more parts in our turbo system than a s/c system. Here's a picture of everything laid out on our stage 2 kit.

i can fully build you a e36 m3 from the ground up and put down 1,000whp for $ as much as this kit and that is installed i can make a kit which iam in the process for a turbo e46 application for $8,000 easy you would just have to get it tuned from ics

i really do like the HPF setup. its simply great bolt on turbo. id go all the way with it, if $$ isnt a issue.

i really don't think most FI for the m3 is worth it, especially the HPF (due to the cost)

i haven't looked at the HPF lately, but iirc, a stage 1 hpf on pump gas makes less hp than most supercharged applications

i'd also like to see a afr gauge that goes lower to 10, cuz when those guys hit that gas pedal hard, it pins itself at the lowest on the gauge (10) and imo, its not safe.

this is just my opinion, as most people love the hpf kit, but i would honestly never buy it.

fyi, i believe the ess cfr700 kit is like 14k, might be something to look at as well if u want the big stuff.

HPF is the only one out there.

yea, that's the issue. sadly, i don't think we'll see a competitor for another couple years once the price of the e46 dips a little more.
