I'm glad the gas prices are heading the south instead of north! The lowest for a premium is $2.89 at chevron on Warner/Brookhurts. What's the lowest for premium where you are at?

I've been paying between 2.91 and 2.95 for Chevron just off the 405 (OC).

I'd be happy if gas prices settled in around the $2.75-2.90 range for branded premium. I don't think prices SHOULD be much lower, for various reasons that I won't get into here. The days of us thinking of cheap gas as an entitlement are over, IMHO. The ancillary benefit is that daytime traffic on the 405 must be at least 20% down over what it was a year ago and moves so much better.

It is really strange psychologically. With the real estate market and stock markets down in terms of pricing, it is really nice to be able to fill up at a relatively reasonable level. I am definitely enjoying the pull back and hope that it is here to stay in some form...

Now we just need to have the airliners revert back to not charging 2nd bags, drinks, airfair, and other prices.

Yes, truly ridiculous. Just set a price that's all inclusive, we're all adults and can add up the total cost...

I actually spent only $35 tonight to fill up from having about a quarter tank. hacent been able to do that in a long time.
