How's everyone doing after MFest? Anyway, hope everyone is recuperating cuz I'm barely getting up to speed with the daily dose of life and work on my end. Anyway, I wasn't completely present during the awarding at LVMS and wanted to know who were the winners that day. If everyone who won to add their names on the list and with what award you guys won, it would be much appreciated. And for those who didn't win a trophy...remember we're all big winners for being part of the BIGGEST BMW caravan ever!!! =)

Hmmm... The ladies at the Mfest registration booth told me there were no awards being given out for a car show, people kept coming and going, and nobody seemed to know anything.. so I didn't stick around, I had 1,600 miles to go to get back home..

I did not know there were awards either or I would have entered the show.

An instructor was giving three people hot laps on the track in my car when they were announcing the awards! I can't wait to post up that vid with the four helmets in the car going around the track! :buttrock:

:mad: I pushed my paint and body guy to finish before Mfest, drove 3,200 miles to enter a car show... that didn't exist according to Mfest registration volunteers... but did exist for the obvious select few who knew about it..

I'm not exactly sure what to think.. :shifty:

Someone needs to communicate better with their volunteers and staff so everyone is on the same page next time around. :grouphug:

MFEST has traditionally awarded cars for the previous 3 years and there were plenty of threads discussing what categories awards would be given for and trophy ideas. But that does not excuse the fact that staff was saying there was not a judged show. Thats what happens when you have girls doing a guys job. :) just kidding

and
3rd Best Non-M for our 135i.


And of course the 1st place Overall Best of Show winner was VF's Widebody E92 :)

too bad that cars like my own didnt really have a chance because they werent at all of the other events or in the garage to be seen ahead of the show. Obviously some exceptions were made but there were several cars that definitely deserved an award that did not get one. Sam you owe me one! :)

FYI: I think it would make good business sense for Laidback to post the winners from each MFest here on the site (like in the gallery section, whatever). Since so much work goes into the cars, and the trophies, it's only logical to spotlight the winners.
