So lets add some more drama to this thread. So that video Chris posted has some history and now some news to it.

Apparently the phone was found at a bar in the bay area when a software programmer for apple left it after getting drunk. It was disguised as a 3Gs model by the case and when they took it off they noticed it was the new version. The kid that found it turned it on saw who it belonged to but pretty much the next day or so Apple wiped the unit cleaned via their remote services. This kid sold it to Gizmodo for 5K bucks. Just the other day Police got a warrant and raided this guy Jason Chen's home and took a bunch of his computers and stuff.

Police Seize Jason Chen's Computers Last Friday night, California's Rapid Enforcement Allied Computer Team entered editor Jason Chen's home without him present, seizing four computers and two servers. They did so using a warrant by Judge of Superior Court of San Mateo. According to Gaby Darbyshire, COO of Gawker Media LLC, the search warrant to remove these computers was invalid under section 1524(g) of the California Penal Code. Patience Patience.

Here is a very dumbed down review. I am sure you can find a ton of review on Engadget and other places that break it down point for point.

Right out of the box the number one thing you notice is that the screen is amazing. I thought the 3Gs had a great screen, but the resolution on this bad boy is truly on another level. I made sure to check things side by side and you can truly notice a big difference in text, picture clarity, and color. At the right brightness ( I have found around half way) the screen really shows up like highly printed paper and easy on the eyes.

The phone is sleek looking as well. Little different to get used to since it's more rectangular all the way around instead of the curved back side of the original iphones but it's growing on me. The black and stainless steel really set this thing off.

The camera clarity and resolution is really really good and the HD Video is truly on par with some of the flip hand held devices. I haven't tested out the Face Time video chat cause I don't know anyone else that has the phone yet so I can test it so can't really say how that is working at the moment.

I am still playing around with stuff so feel free to ask me any questions and I will give you my opinion on it and go from there.

Nope haven't had any issues. I have made it go down by holding it once but haven't had any dropped calls or anything like that. No worse reception that my previous iPhone.

Apparently apple is saying it's as simple as a software fix and nothing really hardware related. I guess a case around it like the bumper or any other will keep your hands from direct contact with the stainless steel.
