Depends on if you like the metal bumper or the sporty tucked in bumper.
I got mine for $1200. Its a 1989 325is with 190,000 miles and runs like brand new!
There is an I and an IS model. The I is the basic one and the IS is the sporty style with the a rear lip on the trunk and if im not mistaken has an upgraded suspension. Also the IS has a sportier interior.

iS or iX would be your best bet.. with the iS being a lot easier to find and probably cheaper as well. Prices are going to very a lot. Just keep looking around. I found my 325iX for 250 bucks in pretty good condition.

Sounds like a decent deal considering the mileage. Just gotta check the rest of the car to see if it's in good shape. If it's a good 325is, jump on it. Good ones are getting harder to find and the 325is is more sought after. Good luck.

Dude, I would wait and look around for a 89 M20 motor, those tend to be a stronger motor than the previous years. The gear ratios on the 89 and up are better as well. If you can find a 325is the better since it will have a LSD.
Unless you plan to do a swap any how, then I would try to get the car for a lower price. Make sure, the frame is straight and it does not have any rust.
Where is the car from? Is it a local CA car?
If you can get the 89, 90, even 91 that would be the choice to get. Almost forgot, reason why you should try to get the 89 and up, it has the smaller plastic bumpers instead of the metal diving boards.
Good luck with the search.
