Hi Jay.

The BMW TPMS (MY2007 on) measures both pressure and temperature, but BMW does not display this information.

It would be nice if BMW would at least display the actual pressure, rather than just a low pressure warning.

So I recommend installing a Hella TC-400 TPMS instead.
Not only it displays tire pressure, it also displays tire temperature which is important for spirited driving. Great tire adhesion starts at around 102F.
