well I knew I shouldnt have done business with this business, but I did, and I requested for a refund .

"apparently" they didnt see the email at all on thursday and friday and shipped the product out today. I am doing a return to sender. so I know I will have to wait till they get it back before doing a "return"

and according to them they will charge me 20% plus shipping costs....

what should I do?

they are not on BBB.......kinda effed up no?

I ordered on Tuesday, Told product was OOS till next week, canceled on Thursday, cause I bought it else where....

If you have proof you tried all methods of contact to cancel with them on Thursday, then they should be courteous enough to refund this to you.

Just my opinion.

Your CC company will back you up if you can document the timeline and communication. Any time I've been in a situation like this I make an effort first via direct communication and if that fails, let the CC issuer duke it out.

+1.

Credit Card companies can often be a huge help in a disputed transaction. Notify your credit card company and explain the situation, and tell them you want to dispute the charges for that merchant. Back everything up in writing. Let the merchant know you will dispute the charges.

went through paypal...I would assume it works the same way.

I do not see it being a problem getting the money back, I am just worried I would be charged shipping...I never got a tracking number or anything, so I think they were just "avoiding" the email then rush shipped it.

NEVER assume that PayPal will have your best interests at heart. Many who have had issues recovering funds will tell you that PayPal sucks big-time in that regard and will rarely expend an effort on, or give due consideration to your problem...they have their money and their interest is doing future business...which means not pissing off the merchants who use PayPal.

Damn sure, we filter the vendors and sponsors aswell, we want everyone here/ members to feel comfortable with the sponsors...so we can all work together...

Others have mentioned it, but call your CC company, and also tell the vendor that its unacceptable to charge you 20% plus shipping. If it was their fault, they should suck up the charges.
