OK.... Here is a great opportunity to get a mod that almost no one (or maybe no one at all) has yet.
Jo at EuroDyne is helping me put together a group buy for e60s (Ms and non-Ms) for a CARBON FIBER ROOF through Carbon 8. Both companies worked together for the latest SEMA show in Vegas. I will work on the details as far as pricing goes in the next couple days.
You can see a carbon fiber roof by Carbon 8 in Jo's personal phots from the SEMA show in the photo section of the Mfest forum. Please add your name to the list if you are interested! Need 5 total to make this a reality....

does this replace part of the roof or is it simply a cover? i am thinking its a cover, so i am wondering how much weight will it add to the car and how noticeable it will be on a black car, because mine is black. also pricing info would be appreciated.
whats the price for the roof installed.

but to get back on topic...this project has been postponed due to the lack of interest...we'll go full steam with the project once more mid 1st quarter of 09...

the goal is to have a full replacement...
but if not many want it...as a manufacturer...they will not invest much either so a cover might be the route to go with...which would be about 15 pounds...
on a black car, it will not be noticeable compared to a car thats white, silver, etc....pricing is still TBD.

I highly suggest we get the word out that Eurodyne is willing to do this mod and get all interested parties out there to join in on the forum so they can have all the info regarding this grp buy...

I found one or two company (local) that is willing to do a thin CF that will be laid on top or a full replacement of the roof...if we get enough interest here i'll help you guys out to get this thing going...

If it comes down to it I'll take a overlay. Will it ce=reate a moisture barrier with the real roof? I'd hate to find rust a few years down the road.
