Adrian, that is great that you are trying to get press coverage for this but lets hold off on that. I just got off the phone with my friend this morning and I found out that she now work work for Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) a non-profit organization (more info goes to the link http://www.aafa.org/display.cfm?id=10 ) so I they are not related to USC but this is still a good cause anyway.

yeah this was a good one for sure! the dyno was cool, too bad randy wasnt able to get his car on though!! that would of been insane!

My friend didn't get my messages till much later about the dyno tips for the car.

He said that he has seen it done both with and without the bellypan/diffuser removed (removal is a pain as there are 21 bolts). Removal provides better access to the lower control arms. I think the dyno tech counted just 14 bolts, but I know there are more.

Also, typically the dyno cooling fans are still directed at the intercooler and not the airbox on these rear mid engine cars.

Finally, it's sometimes difficult to get the sensor all the way into the exhaust for an accurate O2 reading.

I hadn't planned to do a dyno, otherwise I would have done the research in advance for any potential concerns.

My friend had Shadowman create a custom tune, so he plans to dyno his modded GT again sometime, if I am free I will also go at that time.

I'll definitely post up a dyno sheet if I ever get around to doing a dyno for the GT, it hasn't been a priority for me, since I'm comfortable with the current level of perceived power.

But, I agree always fun to know what the computers read.

And sorry to disappoint today. Figured, better safe than sorry. We all agreed better not to risk it without more info on appropriate technique for the specific vehicle.

Awesome event! The kids will be so happy too from the Asthma and Allergy Foundation. Kudos to the organizers! Everyone had fun, food and music were great too! Love the calendars too! I put one up in my kids room tonight, he asked me to. And he kept flipping through all the months.

First I would like to thank everyone for coming out and making this event a success (what a way to end the year!!!) 200+ cars :eek: you guys really made Mfest happen this year and hopefully to continue to get your support:hail:...I would like to thank VF (Nick and the VF crew) for their unselfish commitment on hosting and opening VF to all the ENTHUSIAST!:bow: and also our Mfest sponsors who came out as I know Sunday is a "honey do's day" :laughhard:J/K i know Sunday is Family day:hail:...I am consider Mfest lucky to be surrounded with good people from different walks of life and to come together; be one and have fun even for a day is awesome...I would like to thank the men and women who helped out and devoted their time to make this event even possible...things like this inspire us to make Mfest and the forum even better for next year...I hope that we can continue what we started and hope to get everyone on board on what Mfest is all about...One big FAMILY!
