A while back I know people always ask for local repair shops for oil changes and such.

I remember my GF and I telling people of this guy named LEO.

His shop is a long name, and it is in Signal Hill.

It is off Willow and Raymond

I will update this thread with all relevant information from him and his shop.

He repairs/fixes BMW's and Volvos.

I spoke to him and he DOES work on M series cars, however, he did say that some tools are very specialized for M series cars only, and since they change from time to time, MAY NOT be able to do EVERYTHING.

Quote On Labor $90/hr (no special deals, so we may be able to work something out)

Quote on Oil Changes Price of Parts + $12 (I think this is REALLY good)

This is not his FULL background, but some of it.
He worked at Long Beach BMW for 10+ years, and left because he wasn't "upselling" enough. He got his cars fixed right the first time, but because his "sales" wasn't that high, he got fed up with them.

I will put more information here as I get some.

If you would like to contact him go right ahead, really nice guy.

I do not know if he owns a BMW or even an M, so let's hold off on asking him to join! ;)

Phone Number : 562-427-4369

NAME: Leo

Thanks for the info. We could always use reliable mechanics :)

M specialist are trained and goes to school consistently as our cars are being updated all the time...i bring my cars to SouthBay Autohaus (Rosecrans) as I know they are certified Master tech level 3 (iirc) and do top notch work (non of the Mickey mouse BS :D) and have all the necessary and latest equipment for our cars $80 labor in support for Mfest members but they charge $100/ hour...another shop i recommend is BMStuning.com (dinan certified)...

along the lines of reliable mechanics does anyone know if they offer those training courses to the public to take to learn how to service bmw's? or are they only available if your hired to be a mechanic?

Good question...most of the weekend warriors noramlly read thru the DYI section and jsut share info with others online...but it will be cool if there is a tech session on some of the simple DIY (like oil change, Spark plugs, tune ups and etc) in person...
