Gentlemen,

Just a teaser of the first of some new items we've been cooking up lately.

That is pretty cool. I'd like to see some more pics of it installed. It might end up being a little annoying in that position.

I've got some more pictures coming shortly, Laidback should be able to chime in with pics of his own also.

I thought of that aswell but after the install i was really impress as i didn't have to look up (strains my eye) when the V1 goes off...instead i just look on the right corner to view the V1 and at the same it be able to look on my rear view mirror aswell, the best part no more eye strain and i can just focus on driving...placement of the radar is also dead on front and rear...

Sweet...I was going to ask about an Escort 9500-series version but now that I look at the photo more closely I think the mirror mounting would interfere with the Escort's GPS.

Bart not sure if it would work (the mounting was designed for V1) on other radar except V1'sSweet...I was going to ask about an Escort 9500-series version but now that I look at the photo more closely I think the mirror mounting would interfere with the Escort's GPS.

If you don't have a radar especially V1 then i would recommand to get one ASAP. You can call them up and ask for return units and you get at least 10% if not a little more. These units are returned from people that buy them and use it on a short trip etc. You get the warranty but make sure it has the latest software :D. I got my unit like this and save some $$$

Per me anf Tom's conversation it was made for the oval M rear view mirror and the e9X but as you can see on my Z4MC ( i got it replaced to a square mirror for better reception on the lock/unlocking) it fit just fine...it should be good on yours Jo and yes you can Still hard wire your V1 on the top part and run/ hide the wire going down...

Hardwiring is preferred - this will fit the e46/e39 square/oval mirrors. However, this will not fit e9X or e0 5-series models as the mirrors are a bit different.

Very clean and innovative mod. If I had a radar detector, I'd def sign up.

Well here's a good reason to get one. :D

Good call. Make sure you get POP warning as well.

Yep - wanted to make sure this was compatible with the HomeLink-equipped mirrors also.

Had mine installed wednesday and must say it works great, at the perfect spot. But it might be at a spot too obvious for the cop to see from behind you at night that he could possibly cite you for having something hanging from the rearview mirror (if he wanted to be an a-hole)

Nice...he shouldn't as some people hang some stuff on the rear view mirror all the time

Great looking mount, but that would kill my visibility in right-hand turns :( I have to duck my head a little just to look under the mirror.

Laidback
05-10-2009, 09:39 PM
Just another bonus of the mount is i can use my windshield visor very well now as the V1 is not blocking it:woohoo:

cullen61918
05-10-2009, 10:16 PM
i would definitely get this but it is not as stealthy as having it mounted where the majority of hardwired v1's are located. stealth is needed in areas which detectors are not authorized (:shhh: Camp Pendleton or other military installations :shhh:)

On another note, how would it look if hardwired with more wire exposed?
