MFest in the movies ;)

Good morning guys,

Yours truly + my M are reppin' MFest in some show as we speak. We're doing some background work this morning and we've been placed such that our favorite window decal will certainly be in shot :D

While I've been typing that ^... The directors have coordinated most of the action to happen around my car, looks like Klaus is definitely getting screen time.

I'll update this later on.

I'm sad to report the day ended w. my Klaus getting DAMAGED!!!!!!

... but we'll get to that; first up, more pix cause right up until the damaging Klaus & MFest definitely got some front and center camera time.

Ok so as they're setting up I get the idea of what's going to happen (they're going to blow the glass in on the blue Taurus (sp?) you can kinda see to my right in the 4th pic in the last post) and I get out to express concern to the director.

I was concerned that something from this exploision would hit my car - you can see where this story is going. Director man said nothing to worry about, they do this all the time, everything explodes INTO their car. I said are you sure, he said yes, I really should have pulled Klaus then 'cause I wasn't entirely sold.

Explosion happens and *BANG* direct hit OF THE BLAST CAP to my passenger door :(:(:(:(:(:(:(



So: if you're ever offered $$$ to put your car on screen.... SAY NO, MY MFEST FAM! SAY NO!!!

I've got a letter saying they're going to pay to fix it (which is good) but I'm still totally pissed because the ONE thing I said I was worried about, the director said WAS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN - and then EXACTLY that happened.

MFest has gone Hollywood! Love it! Shoot they better pay for the damage to your ride. Did you give the director a "I told you so!" look afterwards?

^ he got more than an "I told you so" look ... It was more like one of those fix-it-or-I'll-decapitate-you looks I do so well.


And yup, that's an entire downtown city block they had to shoot this in.


Also, that chip has a nice dent to go with it; I'm thinking this might be one of those times where the size of damage makes the price to fix it seem strange. We'll see what the body shop says at 8am tomorrow morning (I tried to book it from the set directly to the body shop but I didn't make it).

So sorry to hear there was a sad ending to the shoot though. I guess they can add it at the ending credits that indeed one car was harmed during the filming of this movie :shifty:

So, this isn't at all where I thought this thread would go but I may as well update on Klaus in here rather than somewhere else.

Klaus went to the body shop Monday @ 8am and while I was waiting for my friend to come pick me up (in his E30) I was browsing the mags; I didn't get further than the first one ... right on top everyone :D
