What's up everyone there in MFest world!!! Just wanted to share our latest project here at GarageWorks with you guys. Lawrence's car is practically done, so it's nowe time for a new in house project...
Introducing the E36 ///Monster.... Life started out as a cheap purchase from an old co-worker, a 95 e36 M3, with about 160k on the odometer. Mainly used as a daily driver from house to work, then turned into a gift to a younger brother. The car eventually proved too much for a young driver and eventually was given back with some abuse. After a short tour as a shop loaner car, we decided to revive the aging M and give it a new lease on life. Plans were drawn out and many possibilities were talked about, but in the end, we decided on the most bang for the buck.... LSx powered Drift or Track car. Plans are twin turbo charged V8, Formula D spec rollcage (same as SCCA specs), coilover suspension and some "minor" body mods.:)
I know... why LSx? Why not?? V8 american muscle combined with BMW style, an unbeatable combination, not to mention, the amount of $$$ it takes to make big power... can't argue with that. Here is our rolling timeline, a pictorial of our journey. Targeted completion date, summer of 2011... we'll see! Enjoy!!

more pics!! Yesterday, the motor arrived. 5.3 liters of kickass. Quick breakdown of the motor, getting rid of unnecessary parts. Off to the machine shop for a quick boring out and thorough cleaning of the block.
