what's up guys, i have to take my car into the dealership for 4 recalls and an oil change.
1. 3rd brake light (tightened up too tight from factory and has cracked),
2. seat belt tensioner (the insulation next to the tensioner may catch fire if car gets into an accident :( )
3. high pressure fuel pump (chance of failing)
4. fuel injectors (may cause misfire faults with erratic engine operation)
now I've been into the dealership before with an aFe intake and aFe exhaust and i know they don't mind those (actually got compliments on them) but i also had an Active Autowerke BOV and chargepipe and JB3 tune installed but uninstalled those before service since they where fairly easy to do.
but since then i have installed a HPF intercooler and to go and uninstall it, reinstall the stock then after service reinstall the HPF IC it would just be a PITA!!
now here's my question for you guys with newer cars with warranty, what are your expierences with going into the dealership with performance mods? especially those with the same mods as me (not necessarily the same brands). i want to go into the dealership to get these recalls taken care of but i HATE having to reinstall the OEM parts just for it.
also are there any dealerships in so. cal that wouldn't mind the mods that i have listed and do the recall work on my car with them installed? (except of course the JB3 tune :D) i'd be willing to drive out there for the work.
and don't give me that "you got to pay to play" BS!
