So word was out, me and my girl got so inspired by this section we decided to get our hands on one. She wasn't a big fan in the beginning but later saw the light after showing her what these little devil are capable of, next thing I know she knows more about Mini's than me. :lolhit: Anyway we are one proud owner and words just don't do justice to how great these cars feels! :woohoo:

Ill be home from the 22nd of dec till the 6th of january... let me know if you want to meet up and go over mods or test out what my car has and decide what direction you want to go... what platform do you have the new turbod or old supercharged model?
Hey Myke! I got the turbo one. Have looked at the Alta turbo application and it is sick! Chris told me about you, the go to guy for Mini. Seen your sick ride in here too! Car is on warranty so I'll be a little mellow on the mods...
Maybe just go with reversable mods then... Like get software upgrade, Alta boost tube, exhaust, intake (I forgot what brand actually made hp on the dyno), and maybe the BOV... maybe springs to drop your 4x4 stance and rear sway...lol... If i had to hold it under 2 grand I would go with the boost tube, software, intercooler diverter BOV and tsw springs...
BOV....???!!! Now we're talking... We need your input here Mark. Riding shotgun your Starion ripping the road boosted, men I remember getting a stiff neck right after. :D

The r56 market is relatively new and i dont even think the ecu has been cracked... The r56 has more low end grunt... I wonder what tranny it has, I know the r53 has a getrag and that was one of the reasons I got it, plus the S/C whine feels awesome! I would love your input on the ride, if you enjoy it so far, etc... 220whp is not too far away for you! Like I said, intake,Boost tube, BOV, springs, ecu at minimum should be added! maybe resonator delete :) you are going to have fun!

One guy has tested like 5 different intakes for the r56 and said that this one had the most power and felt and was all around the best... about 400$ and an honest 12-15hp...
what kind of springs do u got?

When I get back I will let you get a taste of the mini experience... you would maybe even dump your MZ4 for it...LoL,JK, i know thats your baby... but you can get the mini down to 2400 lbs an still have AC and a radio and all your interior intact.. plus have 250hp for under 1,500... And still get 32+mpg

2 other cheap and effective mods... I HIGHLY reccommend the engine bushings... it made a HUGE difference in my shifter feel and the initial torque before boost... the shifting felt a little gummy before but after it was smooth and seemless feeling... It is because it is a cable shifting system and the stiffer bushings help keep the engine and tranny inline with eachother... if you can find transmission bushings too get them... There is a lil more vibration but the tradeoff is well worth it and vibration is only noticeable on idle...

just trying to clear it up if thats what you were thinking... if thats the case lets get you an appointment for a tune, if not lets just meet up at his place and if you like the way my car drives or if you are lucky and he lets you drive one of his, then you can get an appointment later... but i guarantee you are gunna love it.... some people dont gain any hp... but they do gain 15ft/lb+ of torque throughout the rpm band...
