Saleen S7

Was driving around the mountains yesterday with Toby (TKC) and another friend. Stopped by Alice's for lunch and this beast rolled up soon after. The owner was kind enough to move his car to the next parking lot for me to take a few shots. (He stalled twice!)

That thing was SOOOO low to the ground, I was surprised he was out there in the canyons. Pretty impressive! Nice car and nice guy too. :)

Well, he was an older guy and he said he's owned it since 2003, so maybe he owns a dealership?

He also claimed he just installed a race clutch, which is why it stalled....twice. :D

I caught up to a gold one on the 405 a while back in the GT and tried to take a picture:

Then saw the same one the next day at the Saleen School of Speed, I sat in it, and the footbox is very narrow. Perhaps that makes it somewhat difficult to actuate the pedals. Given the anticipated value of the S7, now out of production, and rare, it's likely that it isn't driven frequently. Additionally, there were some changes at Saleen, including the closure of their Irvine Showroom at the Spectrum, and change in position for Steve Saleen.
