Planning on doing my cooling system overhaul, when I get back. Whats the verdict on electric fans yay or neh for living in SOCAL?

electric fans are always better than pulley fans. They move more air and do not take away from your horse power. Also since you live in socal and sit in traffic, they are a good option. Going from a pulley fan to electric fans will also increase power due to power loss from the pulley.

Awesome. Thats what I was thinking, just needed to hear it from you guys. One last question on it though. What is better the single fan or the dual ones?

I'm not currently running an electric fan but i heard the single fan is better than the dual.

Just make sure the fan thermostat is installed properly. Single electric fan with get rid of the big rig sound pulling away from the stoplight in the summer.

Purchase the kit from BIMMERWORLD. I am running the SPAL 16"curved puller with underdrive pulleys and the fan delete.

Sounds like a plan. Any easy way to convert the eletric fan to a switch inside the cab, so I can turn it on or off? Thanks guys!

Spal electric fan, is the way to go there are some kits from bimmerworld for the e36,to delete the fan belt and it also gets a gain of 5hp.

I can't believe some people were thinking of doing the fan delete without adding the electric fan afterwards :facepalm:
