270 mph SCC car!!!

We were privilege to see the first SCC car at Mfest 2 and hope at Mfest 3

Clearly the boys over at SSC didn’t get the memo about the global economic meltdown either because they’ve just updated the Ultimate Aero to make it go 270mph. If you thought the 1104hp Zenvo was the ultimate up yours to recession check out this 1287hp baby, which has around 100 ponies more than the old one.
The increase in power is apparently down to a new one-piece billet aluminium engine block that improves structural integrity and oiling capabilities. The Ultimate Aero has been fitted with a new centre grille opening and carbon fibre louvers that force 20% more air into the radiators.

The increased power and aerodynamic changes mean the car can theoretically now reach 270mph. Inside there is more carbon fibre trim on the dash and the centre console features an Azentek PC Infotainment system.

No word yet whether the company will try to bag a new speed record but it has to be on the cards…
