Faymester's stay on Oahu 2011

yesterday Mum and I 'hiked' Diamond Head (so not really a hike, more of a walk up a hill)

I do have some pix from the top but they're on my camera so it will have to wait till I'm home again.

view from the top is pretty cool but there are a few too many people all trying to do the same thing at the same time and surprising number of very out of shape people trying to do the walk.

anyhow, in the afternoon I got Mum to do more standup paddle and she stood for all of a second (no pix or vids of that I'm afraid)

so today I think she decided we're doing nothing lol

my buddy gave me a pair to try out at first it looked kinda funny, they felt pretty comfy though but not good for walking long distances, it was killing my feet and legs, maybe because it was a kind of prototype style and the sole was kinda thin, no tread looked like slicks with thin grooves, it felt like walking barefoot, my buddy said it helped him rehab his knee after surgery...

it does look comfortable but from its structure and style, i agree with Sir Marcus... i doubt it provides good support especially when running and long walks
