Jo's Ultimate BMW OEM Offset Chart

Been asked all the time, "Jo what offset should I run for my so and so..." It's come to the point where I might as well, just have a guide for you all =)...remember, this is JUST A GUIDE. Do not sue me or get mad at me if you don't do your own measurements most especially if you're getting aggressive with your fitment. This list is based on OEMish standards. All ET/OFFSET is still dependent on tire and wheel size. So please bear this in mind if you are trying to fit wheels from one model to a different model, also if the car is lowered then you may have issues with rubbing/non fitment due to fouling. The higher the ET number the more the wheel will sit inside the wheel arch.

Heeeeelp

So I am going to re-barrel the style 5s and 42s until I get a set I like. What aggressive offset will work? Sorry I am stupid when it comes to offsets and fitment!

ok for style 5's. iirc they are 17x7s and 17x8s? and i think the 42s have the same specs too. well if im right on the base...

with coilovers on semi low settings:

Fronts
17x8.5 ET-10
Rears
17x10 ET 0

Reference: Get Flush App on iTunes =)...learn how to use it and it makes your low lifestyle a breeze =P

as for tire recommendation go use a tire sizing calculator and many are found online. just make sure your rotations/revolutions per minute is no more than 1% different front spec tire sizes. now to get your OEM tire specs and you don't have the original sizes on your car anymore? don't worry, jump on tirerack.com and put your car's year, make and model.

hope that helps.
