UK - Deutsche Connection DC 12 Show

Hi

Another year and another successful DC show and what a thoroughly enjoyable event it was too - great people, great atmosphere, great banter but crap weather! - although it did just about, stay dry!

For the UK, there's nothing in the BMW scene which approaches anything like MFest, and it's shows like this one which started off for the VW/VAG scene where the higher end of modified BMW's and the various enthusiasts over multi communities/forums will get along to. The VW/VAG guys seem to like us along too which is a good thing!

Here's the pictures I took throughout the day;

















I got quite a lot of rolling shots, however many do come out blurred and these are the best ones I managed to capture. Another really good picture I thought of the Dakar M3 spoilt by that lone car in the other carriageway - will need to photoshop that out! No video I'm afraid, I'm looking for suitable mounts etc and I'll get them once funds allow (read that as a low priority currently!) A good blast on the drive up, all of us driving respectfully with a few spirited bursts every now and again! always great fun when in convoy like that!

Clear blue skies once we arrived and there was a funny bright yellow thing in the sky !

Not quite as many pictures as I'd have liked, but mingling amongst the crowd and finding out about things takes up time for me and I miss quite a few areas in shows - flipside is I bump into many interesting enthusiasts and it was no different here as I met up with member R4WAN after admiring a certain set of wheels! - you are welcome to call anytime! -

It did get colder as the day went on, usual English summer weather really but we were spared a downpour ! great to continue chatting and getting to know some of the new faces so thanks from me for the talks and banter !

Congratulations to Paul, KK and Bruno for the places achieved as as per previous posts, what you guys are doing is indeed inspiring the rest of us! keep up the fantastic work !

Looking forwards to DC13 and prior to next year, is the other good shows I've no doubt we'll all be aiming to meet up at and attend - I'm certainly looking forward to them!

Hi,

Constantin - You know I'll always have time for MFest !! absolutely no question there ! I was asking some of the guys I know who were taking honours at the show for the E30's about your request as the winner has recently done his 2.7 conversion - he'll keep a lookout but doesn't know of anywhere at the moment. I hope you've been in touch with the other recommendation !
