This will be my second time. Can anyone please link me to an item? I need a gasket for the Oil Filter Housing, on an 1998 BMW E36 318i (4-door, hence 318i not 318is).

Have bro, I believe I got an solution, check you PCV, its possible that when the oil heats up in the pan, it starts to expand, now when this happen the PCV is suppose to regulate that pressure, if not the oil will be force outward to the weakest areas of the engine. So yes you need a new Oil Filter Gasket and check to see if you PCV is in operating correctly. Best way to do that is with a Lab Scope or an Scan Tool.

Sounds very plausible, thanks for the info. I will do some research on the item and see if I can even acquire a gasket. New camshaft positioning sensor, and Bosch Platinum spark plugs came in today. Looks like a project for next week.

Update! I have installed (another) brand new Cam shaft positioning sensor and all new Bosch Platinum Iridium Fusion spark plugs. After a day of driving the car around, the Check Engine light did pop up. I crossed my fingers as I plugged in my ECU reader, and thankfully the only error code was a Large EVAP leak. The only issues that I have with the car as of NOW is the Large EVAP leak, and the constant 1-2 drop(s) of oil that drip each day. Any further advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
